I had the 2 hot dog special. The dogs were thinner than my pinky. No poppy seeds on the bun. I think I could see through the pickle it was so thin. The frys were par cooked and refried when I placed my order. It included a small drink all for $14. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great customer service! Prices are decent, little pricey compared to other hot dog eatery’s. In my personal opinion the gyro was a better choice over the hotdog. The gyro had quality meat. Nice and tender, not over cooked.

Price changed at the register? $21 for 7 pc shrimp fry and kiddie drink. I went here to support the little guy over the big chain fast food and left feeling kinda ripped off. They certainly give enough cocktail sauce with the shrimp though, and they were good, as were the fries

My favorite place since 25 years ago. They just get better and better. My kids were little at the time and now they are grown they still remember and when they come to Chicago they want big Sammy’s. Everything is delicious esp gyros but I got my fav fish sandwich. It’s sooooo goood. So fresh. Great customer service too. Love this place and the guys that work here. They have the best chips ( fries ). These are what you call chips. Amazing

I haven’t been to Big Sammy’s in a long time, maybe a year or more, but after going there today I think this will be my last time giving them my business. I could not believe it, but on a Saturday night there was nobody there. They were completely out of menus, also no prices were posted anywhere on the boards that show their menu items. I used to get the 2 hot dog special back when it was $7, but now the price has almost doubled to over $13??!! I can understand inflation and all, but to me there is no way a 2 hot dog SPECIAL should cost more than $10, tops. I feel ripped off.

Can’t believe they charge over $7.00 for a large fries. This place is charging way to much for fries and other items on the menu. They haven been in business for a long time and made a lot of money. I will never go back there ever again.
