Big Sai’s is the Original & Greatest in Davis County! I have been going to Big Sai’s since it opened in 2011 & has the best Hawaiian food Period! There have been others that have popped up but do not hold a candle to Big Sai’s! The only option hands down is BIG SAI’S FOR THE GREATEST FOOD AROUND! Our favorite meal here is the Teriyaki Beef, pure deliciousness that I could eat all night! If you have never been to Bug Sai’s, get going now & fall in love with the best food around!!!!!!!!!!

It was my first time going to this place as I drive by it everyday. I came in the afternoon on a weekday and I was the only person there. When I walked in the young lady behind the counter never raised her eyes from her phone to acknowledge me even after I had looked at the menu and even after I was ready. She only looked up after I said “Hello, how’s it going” in a nice manner. I informed her that I only wanted a side of Mac salad and some of the dessert of the day. She very rudely rolled her eyes and with an attitude said “you just want one scoop or what” to which I then said “I’m sorry it’s my first time here I don’t know if you guys sell by the scoop or container” She then rolled her eyes again and sighed like I was wasting her time. She told me “yeah here we just do it by the scoop” At that point I decided to decided to leave. I don’t want to eat at a place like that treated me rudely. I even said I was sorry it was my first time and she still treated me like that. I could have at least gotten a “Hello” when I walked in. I thought I was walking into a place where people were super nice. I’m sure the food is very good but the service was not.

Never been in here before but I order it on uber eats and my order is always right and good! My favorite katsu chicken I’ve found! If they added some stir fry noodles to the menu for the kalua pork and some sweet sauce for the rice like Honolulu grill, this place would be

This place is great, I had it for the first time on Friday and I can’t wait to go back! The mini plate was plenty of food, the Mac salad was so good and their sauce is amazing! I had my first spam musubi, it was so interesting! The lady was nice!

Went with a group of people, they chose the place only to discover that this place has no vegetarian options at all. Also every thing is cooked with pork in it. So with my dietary restrictions I ended upping not ordering anything and watched my friends eat.
They seem to enjoy it. The place was busy.

A coworker and myself were talking about the Loco Moco’s we had while visiting Hawaii a while ago. A quick google search landed on this place right outside the Hill AFB South Gate. I decided to give em a shot, glad it did. What a great little place so conveniently located to the base. SUPER clean inside, great music playing and super nice employees. The Loco Moco was absolutely delicious! Guess I’ll have to go try the rest of the menu!

I wanted to like this place but there are a LOT of issues!

The older lady taking my order must’ve been having a bad day, she was visibly upset, and was very angry, sour, and impatient with me even though I was the only person in the store at the time. The second lady was nicer by comparison but I was already wishing I hadn’t ordered by the time I paid.

I got the guava cake and for a 3×3 inch slice, it was DRY and HARD, not moist and fresh like how I had it last time I came here. Do not order the cake, it is very deceiving and you won’t know until you’ve paid $5.50 to take their old food to the garbage where it should have gone in the first place.

I had the short ribs too and there was a healthy portion of meat which was the only good thing I can come up with. Unfortunately it was soggy and limp, feeling more like a boiled hot dog and less like fresh charred ribs off if the grill that I am accustomed to from any other Hawaiian grill. I can’t tell if it was from swimming in the teriyaki sauce all day or if they needed a little more time on the grill.

Last but not least, the high tables were sticky and the trash cans were full despite how rather clean the rest of the room was. I think this is just how the restaurant was today and not how it normally is.

The $31 hole in my pocket for one person was quite pricey and the service and food I got in return was pitiful and a let-down from my expectations coming in. I hope they’ll do better next time!

Got a two meat plate to share. Kalua pork with gravy and egg was great. Not too salty and very moist. Husband says teriyaki chicken is good and not dry. Good with the rice. Here is an updated menu, prices are different. I always fall for the first photo, look here for 2024 pricing.
