My husband and I went in for lunch I ordered the half rack of ribs and a regular Mac n cheese. He ordered the quad burger with cheese it came with fries. Both of our meals were really good. Its hard to find good bbq but this place was amazing. It was alot of food and a decent price for BBQ. I will be going back. Only down side I seen is if you dont like to eat in a loud place this wont work for you the music playing is pretty loud but hey they have to go so there is always that option.

Just amazing! Prices are super reasonable for the quality. Ordered a 4 pieces smoked wings with Cajun corn and baked beans and everything was on point. Even had an extra wing! The restaurant atmosphere is super chill, gives you that feeling that you’re invited to eat at your friend’s house. Loved it!

Came back to try the smash burgers last week and they were so great, we ordered more smash burgers again yesterday to go before they closed for the day!

I have tried a few things there and I out of the things I’ve tried I got a few favorites 1st is the Seafood box its amazing and seasoned to perfection. 2nd is tied between the Pull pork and the wings ( any flavor u can’t go wrong) The pull pork and coleslaw was not only delicious but loaded with meat trust me when I say he ain’t skimpy on the portion size and it’s always fresh which is very important to me and my family. The wings was smoked and seasoned to perfection. And lastly the price r so reasonable unlike other places u definitely get ur money worth and some. I could eat here every week especially on Seafood Fridays ! I just wished they could be opened later in the day so I could have it for dinner some nights but until then I’ll continue to be there b4 the doors open for lunch. Keep up the great work!!

I was in town for a work function last week. We needed lunch catered for Wednesday and Big Roosta’s BBQ was the right place for us to go. David (Big Roosta) was great. He seemed like an all around good Dude. Very communicative through the whole process. He had upfront pricing. Several options so we had variety. It was ready waiting on us exactly when we asked. It was also some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. We had 18 people so we ordered 8 sampler platters. That was more than enough. We definitely got our moneys worth. If back in the Gulfport area I will absolutely consider doing business with David again. Either for catering or just stopping in for a quick bite.

Was craving BBQ and was told about this establishment, we ordered take-out and I wanted so much to enjoy this food,,,but the potato salad was like mash potatoes and the the mac and cheese was way overcooked, the baked beans taste very good but didn’t have that baked bean look, more like they were cooked on top of stove. BUT!!!! THE RIBS WAS TENDER, FALL OFF THE BONE DELICIOUS I will try other dishes and come back for a better experience

Coming from a seafood city (Seattle), I was taken to Big Roosta’s by a local friend who really loved his food.
Roosta himself recommended the seafood platter and it did not disappoint. The fried crab legs (were huge) and it was my first time eating fried crab legs were delicious. The shrimp were big and sweet, the catfish cooked to perfection and the sides hush puppies, fries (made from fresh potatoes), okra and the white bread slices were fresh and they were good. If you get a chance to come to Gulfport, I really recommend coming here, there’s also bbq ( what he’s known for). All the usual bbq meats. His smokers are out back and you can smell them at work. I recommend ordering online especially during lunch time, it’s busy which is a sign of how good his food is.

This place is amazing. I ordered the Turkey necks. They were full of flavor. They were so good I wanted to eat the bones. The food is so good it is the type of food you want to eat in your bed, in your underwear, roll over and go to sleep. The best turkey necks i have had in a long time. The personalized customer service is out of this world. Every Friday we are asking “ yall going to roooo-staaas?” Good all the way down to the bone.
