BBQ is different at every place you go…taste and flavor…and for me I do not care for there’s. Lots of people seem to enjoy it, but for me personally; I do not care for the taste or the way they serve it when you dine in. They are locally owned, so give them a shot because it may be what you prefer.

My favorite BBQ around. The ribs are by far the best in the River Valley. Surprisingly my favorite pork tacos in town too. And love the service. Everything comes out quick, they always check up on you and genuinely care about your satisfaction and will go into detail of the vast work he puts into every dish.

I have tried most of the menu and everything has been delicious. Even though I get full half way through, I can’t stop eating and finish every bite. Just wish I could be rolled out to my car after. Haha Owner is extremely attentive and truly cares about your satisfaction and comments. Have to try the ribs. Best BBQ in the River Valley

This place is awesome!!! Its NOT the old bbq place, totally different owners they also have a restaurant in Lamar, Ar. The brisket is super good, orka salted and cooked perfect, best beans around!! They have a 10 lb hot dog challenge (thought was pretty cool) owners are so nice, we enjoyed talking with them.. Definitely going again and again and again lol

My husband and I just tried Big Poppa’s for the first time tonight. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable and not overly crowded. The staff was very friendly and service prompt. We opted for the three meat and two sides. Between the two of us we tried the chicken, brisket, ribs, and bratwurst. The sides were the slaw, potato salad, and beans . I’ll start with the meats. The chicken was my favorite! It was tender and juicy. The ribs I would have liked a little more dry rub or perhaps glaze on them but they were tender and the bone pulled through easily. The brisket had a little bit of gristle in my pieces but my husband’s was tender. The bratwurst was typical but very good. Though I personally prefer a little more smoke flavor in my meats, overall they were good. They have two sauces regular and hot and both were delicious! The sides were good. The slaw was not overly wet and had a nice mix of salt and pepper to it. The potato salad was fair. The beans though were probably the best beans in the tri-county area. We walked away stuffed and not disappointed. We will be back.

Quaint looking from the outside, but well furnished and adorable on the inside! The food is amazing, make sure you come early for ribs!! Friendly service and inclusive menu. You’ve got to try it!!
