This place is definitely a must stop! The food was amazing ! Had birria tacos and they were the best I’ve ever had! Traveled from Michigan through New Mexico going to Arizona! The owner himself offered us a taco he made for himself and it was sooooo goood! Our waitress was such a sweetheart! Definitely will be back just for this Diner!

I ordered the chicken fried steak, it’s a prebreaded patty that is slightly salty, and the gravy it had on it was not good at all, it also had a slight tint of a tan color to it. The baked potato was good it had butter, bits of bacon and some cheese on it. I will try something else instead next time. Until they change the gravy, I don’t recommend anything that comes with it. The server was very polite and professional. They said they would look into changing their gravy. Good clean quiet restaurant.

This food is the BEST IN TOWN !!! From Mexican to New Mexican food… both are done perfectly !! I’ve had Birria tacos, cholo tacos and breakfasts. Every thing I’ve had was delicious and Prices are great… more than fair !!! Service is GREAT !! Family owned and family run. This is my new favorite place. Portions are good as well. This family should be proud. Well done.

We had the pleasure of eating at Big Papa’s on their first opening day on 7th street, and it was absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, and every staff member was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast burritos did not disappoint — so flavorful and satisfying! We’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more of what’s on the menu.

Randomly stopped here en route to Santa Fe. The food is delicious and a family has poured their hearts and soul into this establishment. Every single thing was homemade and truly excellent. Birria, rice, and salsa are standouts for sure. The restaurant has an old school diner feel and is exceptionally clean. Hidden gem.

We love the food truck scene in Las Vegas. Big Papa’s is a wonderful find and just jumped to the top of my Las Vegas food rotation. I was surprised at the depth and breadth of the menu. This guy makes a ton of different dishes.
Our family of 4 had an NM Philly cheesesteak, birria tacos, kids bean burrito, and carnitas. The food was excellent and clearly made fresh. My wife said the carnitas were the best she’s ever had and specifically appreciated how moist the pork was. My NM Philly hit the spot: lots of cheese and the right amount of green Chiles to give it that subtle kick. It’s hard for us to find a place where everyone got food they loved but Big Papa’s delivered. 10/10.

I love Family Owned/Operated places like this. The food & service is always excellent. Everyone is friendly & the menu is the most extensive one you’ll find in town. From Phillies, to breakfast food, to burgers, to their newest addition Pizza. They have you covered. I love this spot. I highly suggest the Burnt Cheese Tacos with Carne Asada & their awesome rice. Everything is homemade with love. God Bless this Family.
