The Nashville Hot Chicken has completely changed my life. Everything I’ve had here is really good, including the sides. Got the chicken and a couple sides on a daily special and got out of there for a really great price. So happy to have this place in Monte, we are very lucky!

We were so excited to try Big Moons. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. We ordered two Brisket sandwiches and a side of greens. There wasn’t enough meat to fill the buns- and half of it was fat. Literally. The meat was lukewarm at best. The buns were very dense and cold. Completely too much bread. The greens were ok. We picked apart our 30 dollar lunch and left hungry.

Fantastic BBQ! Located where you might not expect but it was an easy 15 minute drive from where we were staying. Friendly, welcoming staff greet you at the counter where you pick your drink, protein and sides – southern BBQ style. Everything we had was absolutely delicious! Big Moon knows his way around a pit, beautiful smoke on the ribs, the brisket was tender and moist, and all the sides we tried were perfect! We will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu!!

I absolutely love this restaurant. I have been here on several occasions and I have not been let down once. The food is amazing and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. How grateful we should be to have southern cooking here in such a small town. The greens to die for – I have lived in the south for over 30 years and I have to say Hands Down to the Cook! I think for what we are getting the prices are too low that’s my opinion just sayin so much better than a hamburger and a small bacon egg cheese croissant! Thank you Big Moon’s BBQ looking forward to Thursday.

This new BBQ place has the best ribs I have had in a long time the flavor is like a pepper jerky but with that fall off the bone texture a must try. There brisket is melt in your mouth their collard greens and mac and cheese have so much flavor. A must try place when coming to town.

Was driving through and needed lunch, decided to try it out. Was not disappointed. I absolutely loved the barbecue sauce. And the seasoning on the ribs were amazing. Husband had the pull pork loaded potato. And there was so much meat, that he absolutely loved it and didn’t even eat dinner later that night cuz he was still full.

This place is amazing!!! Pictured is their brisket plate with collard greens and Mac n cheese, with side order of cornbread. The other is their Sunday special prime rib with loaded baked potato. The meat is juicy, super tender, and melts in your mouth. Their house bbq sauce is that perfect balance of sweet and tang and mixes well with their horseradish. The staff are super friendly and definitely work well as a team to ensure their visitors meal are out in time. My husband and I are first timers and we are already planning our Second visit!
