Our first time to eat here. We arrived at 3 when they opened and that eliminated the wait time. Food was delicious, portions were large. We got onion straws as an appetizer and they could feed 4-6 people. Our steaks were wonderful and our baked potato was cooked well. We got house salads and I was very glad it was a spring/green mix and not iceberg. Service was excellent! We are glad we chose Big Mike’s for our anniversary dinner!

We ate here on a Thursday night holiday weekend. They were busy. We got crab claws for appetizers and they were so good. My husband got the Big Mike and he said it was one of the best steaks he ever had. I got the 8oz baseball sirloin steak with sweet potato. So good. I usually would not finish my steak but I did this one. Staff was friendly and worked well together. The only downside I had was we did not get the bread that other tables did. Our waitress did not give to any tables she was serving, but others did. It looked delicious and I would have loved to try it. Overall I will go there again and maybe next time it will get 5 stars all way around. Felt open and just what you want on the water.

Big Mikes is a great place to grab a steak with a great view of Lake Guntersville. We went on a rainy evening but still was wonderful outdoor seating. They have a large drink menu with decent prices and options for beer and wine. Oysters and other starters. We tried the fried Wickles pickles and they were wonderfully sweet and spicy to start. Then ordered the 8oz Baseball Sirloin (med) which was cooked to perfection. We finished the meal with the strawberry cheesecake for dessert, they also had bread pudding which sounded wonderful as well. But we were too stuffed from the meal to go heavy on dessert. I feel the prices are fair for the quality and portion of food. The atmosphere on the patio was great. The only downsides which I believe they could easily improve to get five stars are that they really need to use cloth napkins, better steak knives. The interior of the restaurant was lack luster with the white booths and the restroom was poorly maintained. I feel some darker colors would really improve the ambiance and the inside atmosphere making this great restaurant feel more upscale. But the kicker was there were two gentlemen who would walk out to the dock and smoke about four cigarettes each just across from the patio dining area. There was an entire dock, and feel that some smoking areas could be defined to prevent this. As the smoke blew directly in our direction. I know it is outside but this could easily be prevented and honestly just took so much away from the experience.

It was a two hour wait, which we expected, but luckily, Levis on the lake it right there with live music. We were seated at a table right near the front door…. definitely not my favorite. Our server was friendly and attentive. Fried Wickles were delish!! Hubby had the pork chop and it was on point. I got steak, which was ordered medium well. It does say on the menu that they do not recommend more than medium cooked steaks, and they apparently don’t cook them past medium either. I was able to eat the edges that were a little more done than the middle. Great flavor, but if we go back, I will not get a steak, I will definitely get something else.

The location is the best part of this. Nice view from any table. The bread and butter are delicious. Onion straws were amazing. The entrée food is good, but it’s not worth the price. We went here for an anniversary date, but we probably won’t be back for the reason there’s a lot more affordable restaurants with food just as good.

No reservation process, long wait arrived 6:30 seated 8:45 party of 10 at two different tables. Requested one table for group. Accommodated us and moved to one table. Server friendly but over booked resulting in slow service. Food delicious worth the wait!

We got there when they opened so it didn’t take us long to get seated. We were a party of (15) so we understood the wait time for our entrees but everything was perfect! I would definitely recommend! Did I mention the view is beautiful as well

Ok great atmosphere perfect night to sit outside. House salad was great very fresh. Shrimp dish looked amazing. The only reason for my 4/5 stars was the 16oz ribeye was very dry and ordered medium and it came out well done. This being said I will absolutely go back and try it again.

I don’t have any complaints about this restaurant. We drove 3 hours to eat here because we love the Big Mikes in Orange Beach but the atmosphere just isn’t the same . It’s not bad , just different . However , the service and food at the Guntersville location is every bit as great as Mike’s Orange Beach restaurant and the lake setting is absolutely beautiful.
