First time here and we’ll definitely be back! Food was delicious. They have so many options for breakfast with good sizable biscuits. From fried pork chops to your common options this place did not disappoint. My husband ordered cheese grits and he ate it so fast that I couldn’t snag a picture. All it needs is a little jazz and it’ll be perfect for brunch because it has lots of tables for indoor dining.

This is a family owned and run restaurant. Lisa was our hostess she was very polite and informative, she stated that her uncle was working the grill and her aunt makes homemade desserts for the weekend. My daughters and I are always looking for a nice place for breakfast and lunch and I think we found one of our new favorites. The facility was clean and the atmosphere was inviting. This is the first breakfast restaurant I’ve been to in a while that I actually felt as if my mother was doing all the cooking. The food was fresh and definitely homemade. I’m very eager to go back and try their lunch menu. They serve their lunch menu until 6 pm. Lisa also stated they have live music on Fridays.

To say this place was good would almost be an understatement. We came here on the recommendation of a friend of mine, and I’m so glad I took he up on it. I had the smothered shrimp and grits and my wife had eggs and sausage patties. I can’t remember the last time I ate in a restaurant and had grits that I didn’t have to cover in salt and butter. Everything was so good! The food, the service, atmosphere. Just needed a quick power nap after eating though. We’ll be back. Definitely!!!

Outstanding food. Absolutely delicious.This was our first visit, and we came for breakfast. Server Veronica is terrible and almost made us leave before our food arrived.I’m glad we stayed because it was awesome. The family that was working made this place desirable to come back to. Need stronger front of house help to keep people coming back. The chef’s daughter was charming and awesome and genuinely listened to my concerns about our server. The BEST western omelet I have ever had and bicuits were incredible. See ya soon to try some dinner.

Had to try this place and it was all soooo great! Had a little of everything. Smothered pork and chicken , fish and shrimp , chili, fried green tomato, collards, Mac cheese, green beans, Southern dressing, strawberry cake, chocolate Bundt cake, and mashed potatoes. All freakin amazing!!!!

It is about time, but there is finally a great breakfast joint in Ocala, FLA! And as an added bonus, they also have a great lunch/dinner as well! A Southern Soul Food menu (oxtail for breakfast? Yes, please) that makes it hard to choose or easy to convince you to make a return trip, maybe the same day (don’t judge). Big man and his daughter Ciera welcome you in like you are family and (soon-to-be) Famous Dwayne is an absolutely fabulous host! You are only a stranger once! Also, be sure to check out Big Man’s After Hours on Friday evenings from 6-10pm! Live jazz or Motown music, an amazing bar, and great people!

My boyfriend and I just ate here today and the food taste so good. My boyfriend ordered the fried fish sandwich with fries and I ordered a cheeseburger with Mac and cheese. It taste just like home cooking. The customer service was superb as well! Everyone was very welcoming . We even met the owner and his wife . They seemed like great people. ❤️
