We stopped in Texarkana for a bite to eat and it was interesting. I had the Chicken and Dressing with Green Beans and Potatoes, my husband had the Hamburger Steak, Mashed Potatoes,Yams and Cornbread. Good place, but they need to work on bringing down the seasoning (salt)on certain dishes and upping it on others. I would give them another visit.

Delicious southern cooking and friendly hospitality, We drove by and saw the parking lot full at lunchtime on a Friday. That’s always a good sign. We came back later and found out why. So many choices of entrees and sides. I ordered almost all the sides- mixed greens, yams, green beans and potatoes, cabbage, and pinto beans. Each was amazing and even unforgettable! Will be back

I walked in for the first time and was treated like family. I told them I’m from Little Rock in town on business and the gentleman at the counter told me new customers get a free slice of cake (I got the butter pound cake and it was AMAZING, fresh and hot out of the oven too), then I was deciding which entree I wanted and mentioned turkey necks, so he offered me a free turkey neck to try. FALL OFF THE BONE DELICIOUS. I was sucking bones in front of everyone. I ended up getting the chicken spaghetti, cornbread, yams, and macaroni and cheese. I ate every last bite and wanted more! I got a plate each for me and my coworker and he felt the same way. We will be back next week and EVERY time I’m in Texarkana. Every single employee there talked with me and I genuinely had a good time. I review so many restaurants but this place is hands down the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, and after a plate of this soul food heaven, you’ll want nothing more. The only downside is if you’re wanting their ox tails, you’re gonna want to come early. Thank you Big Mama’s, you’ve earned a lifelong friend and customer. 10/10 in every way.

I am hungry, craving McNuggets, but I decided to patronage this place instead. Glad I did. Big Mama’s Crock-pot is a nice, small Mom & Pop business close to me so I can drop in anytime. I purchased the Beef Tips & Rice meal, you get 2 sides, choice of bread & a drink as well for $14.59 that is w/ tax. My sides: Mashed Potatos, Sweet Potatos & Corn Bread. I like it all very much. Not too over seasoned, nice size of Sweet Potatos & pieces of meat; good portion for the price. Nice homemade food I don’t have to cook myself:: all the better for me.

I stopped by on Sunday for the first time, nice quaint atmosphere and the service was prompt. I was somewhat displeased by the service portions I ordered. First of all, the take out containers are the size you would get if you ordered wings from Wing Stop. I ordered cabbage, yams and chicken dressing. I literally only had 2 yams and 4 leaves of cabbage in my order! Not acceptable for a plate costing $14.
