One of the only places within a half hour that has food after 9:00. I drove over from Newberry because all the restaurants in town quit serving food at 8-9 pm. I walked in at 9:30 and was the only person there but the Bartender Ariel said the kitchen was still open and they would serve me even though they hadn’t had a customer in the last hour. I had a great chicken sandwich, fries and a couple nice cold drinks. Really nice place, with good food, cold drinks and friendly staff. What else can you ask for! They easily could have turned me away and said the kitchen was closed but they didn’t. Thanks!!

Was invited to go eat at the Big Lake Tavern with some friends who heard about it. Had a great meal very reasonably priced. Loved the interior of the bar and restaurant. Looks like they have daily food and drink specials and the burger I had was excellent! I was able to get mine fixed just the way I liked with the toppings I wanted and it was put together far better than I expected! As I manage the Grandview Cabins on the lake I will be sure to recommend to our guests that they check out the BLT.

Not sure if it was miscommunication or something else. Ordered a fish sandwich without a bun and no sides to go for my wife who has ciliac decease. When it was brought to me I checked it. There was fish on a bun sitting on a bed of fries. When I asked the waitress about it she took it back to the kitchen and promptly returned my order. No doubt in my mind it was just scraped off the bun and put in a to go box. When I questioned the waitress about the price,$16.99. She explained to me that was the price and that’s how it works.
The fish basket I ordered was pretty darn good. I asked what kind of fish it was, “perch pike” was the answer. Never heard of such a species. Good none the less.
While I really like the cabins here and enjoying staying here, probably won’t be getting food at the bar again. Positive, the long necks I had were cold and exactly what I expected.

Michelle and Rudy have done one hell of a job with this restaurant. Food was absolutely amazing atmosphere was great and the service was Top Notch. I would recommend this place over any place in the area. We were up there for a week and ate there every night they were open. So convenient. If I could give it 10 Stars I would.
