This location is one of my favorites! I absolutely adore the staff! Always good conversation and pleasant to order from. I can be indecisive, but they never make it awkward! So polite! We intended to eat at another local restaurant but left after waiting too long to be served. We had an event to go to and were running out of time. We were headed to Taco Bell when we spotted Big John’s we pulled in. The staff was friendly and our food was made quickly. It was very good. We dined in and the young man behind the counter was telling another customer with confidence that they have the best subs. He went on to say that if anyone feels they get a bad sub that it would be remade. We had great experience and made it to our event on time.

This place is terrible nowdays.. I ordered an 8″ #4 (super steak n cheese). I watched the girl turn the salt Shaker upside down over my steak 2x and drown it. Then when it was cooked she recooked it till the steak was dry & crispy as a potato chip. I took 1 bite and couldn’t gag it, as it was so salty & tasted like old meat. The meat was excessively salty dry, tasted old, then they dont even fill the bun. Npaid the extra for 50% more meat & it had less meat than a normal one used to. My wife not knowing this, took 1 bite of hers & wouldn’t eat anymore. She thought i pulled a prank money her. The meat tasted old, way way way to salty & over cooked to then point it was dry, then short you on what you pay extra for . This is my second experience like this in a row from Davison Store. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Who does a break during dinner rush at 7pm on a Thursday? I’ve watched 4 customers come and go while I’ve waited ten minutes. I imagine big John is paying crap wages and can’t keep anyone, but this is losing money.

Beyond disappointed! Went to the location in Davison off State rd. Not only was it mostly bread, the meat was just rubbery, not seasoned well. I got 3 subs. We will never go back. Tried the steak and the chicken. Disgusting.

Chick behind the counter was extremely rude. I order a Chicken Philly and she “ No I AM NOT DOING CHICKEN, WE CLOSE IN 30 MINUTES” regardless of when you close, you should serve what’s on the menu, not what you feel like preparing. Next time I’ll just take my business elsewhere regardless of the time of day. Had she not been so rude about it, I would have understood.

Best steak subs in Michigan and the red sauce is out of this world; has a hint a heat but not at all hot. Ordered the 8” steak and cheese sub Which had a generous portion of steak and it has a generous portion of steak. This Big John’s has a restroom as several others don’t and was also very clean! A must try!!

I went in after work (9pm) placed my order and the lady (later found out was a so called mgr) was very rude. She told me they were completely outta chicken. The attitude of that whole visit was very unprofessional. Not to mention she walked away in the middle of my trying to place my order.. after the attitude became worse I canceled my order and wanted a refund where she then tried to accuse me of stealing a bag of chips. I call corporate and they said they’d take care of it and they’ve had alot of complaints about her blah blah blah.. saying she was going to be fired once they fired someone else.. 3 months goes by and shes still there.. so everyone lies there and covers one another bs. Never again.

This place is awesome – their 8 inch steak, cheese, and mushrooms is definitely a meal. I have had a few cheese steak sandwiches in my life and these are some of the best. Service was on par with everybody else that is sub shop has. Their sauce is unique but really good. I would recommend stopping by and trying one…
