The food was good the both times I have been here. For the type of food they serve, they do a good job at a good price.
I specifically went here to try the perch since it is very hard to find a take-out place that has perch on its menu. It was excellent. The same quality as most sit down restaurants. The chicken strips and cod were also good. The portions for the price is very good.
I’m giving the restaurant 5 stars due to a mistake they made. As a business owner myself I know mistakes happen. To me, how someone addresses mistakes and takes ownership of the mistakes are what really matter. Vinnie exceeded my expectations.
The first time I went here it was near closing time and they gave me the wrong order. I realized it when I got home. I called the restaurant to let them know. Vinnie offered to stay and make the correct order. I told him since I was over 30 minutes away and there was bad weather that was not practical.
I told Vinnie, since I no longer worked or lived in the area I likely wouldn’t be going back there. Since I paid cash, he easily could have apologized and have that be the end of it. Instead he asked for my name and number to make things right if I ever came back. About a month and a half later I happened to be in the area and placed an order. Vinnie immediately remembered the incident and “made things right.”
I liked the food and my only regret is that the restaurant is not closer to me. I definitely recommend it for anyone that is nearby.

A friend of mine told me about this place and said I need to try it out. So I came today and got 10 wings and the potatoes. I cannot even put into words how good it was. I am definitely going back again. Food was great. Service was great. I will be back. Thank you for doing such an excellent job.

Absolutely and consistently delicious food. 1/2 rack ribs are very large, moist and tender, and the BBQ sauce is very tasty. The broasted chicken is crispy on the outside, nicely seasoned and moist and tender on the inside. Prices are very reasonable.

First time trying this place and we ordered a carry out of the Family Chicken and Ribs dinner. So glad we did. Everything was absolutely amazing. Chicken was juicy and ribs were fall off the bone. Will definitely go again.

What in the name of $40 did I just bring home. So much food the 2 of us are going to be eating for days. The ribs just fell off the bone and the boasted chicken was so juicy and flavorful. Not to mention enough boasted potatoes for 8-10 people. If I ever have to go on a fixed income. This meal could feed me for 5 days. The photos are the leftovers.

The chicken is amazing – get this you get whole chicken piece brosted not fried. 12 piece of chicken included brosted potatoes and coleslaw for $20.00 good golly miss molly . I choose Big Joe over Chicken Shack value, taste and whole chicken pieces customers service is top notch as well.

Decided on the 3 pc cod lunch special with broasted potatoes (as opposed to fries). Specials come with coleslaw & a dinner roll for $9 – 10 + tax.
The slaw is good, creamy without dripping in sauce. The potatoes are great and the fish is delicious but a tad greasy. The quantity is tremendous, especially the potatoes. There must’ve been 3 whole potatoes in there.
Everything is made to order so it was fresh & hot.
Downside is that its all packaged in styrofoam & plastic.

Came here because the other chicken place is cutting it. Have to say slightly Joe’s has as good or better food. Plus good service. Only thing they need is a a lol tlc on their restaurant..
