My review will be based solely on two Door Dash orders in the month of November 2025, both of which were fantastic meals. Both times I ordered the Large Catfish Fillet Dinner, which consisted of several large catfish fillets (with very tasty breading), seasoned fries, and a small roll.
Both times the food was prepared hot and tasted fresh. I was surprised by how large the catfish fillets were, and the large dinner was just the right portion for a heavy eater like myself. The breading can be customized to your desired hardness, but I just left it on “regular” which was perfect. The fries have some kind of seasoning in addition to salt, which I thought tasted very good. The roll is nothing special, just a basic Hawaiian roll.
Both times that I Door Dashed this meal, it came quickly and was nice and hot (even the fries were still plenty warm). It came in a box and my desired number of tartar sauce packets was included, as well as some napkins.
I can’t comment on the atmosphere or service dining in, but I will definitely continue to order food delivered.

I have had catfish from several places around the QC. They are not in the same category as JJs! Great breading, seasoned perfectly and huge filets! Chicken wings are off the charts! Another great breading, light and seasoned just right! Really cool owner and very sweet woman helping! Today was a first of many visits!! Great food great service! Thank you Big JJs Fish and Chicken!!

I have lived in Rock Island for 3 years,
And I’ve always known of this place,
but I’ve never tried it.
Man, do I regret not visiting sooner!
I ordered a 5 piece chicken tender and fries box.
The chicken is juicy and full of flavor,
And the fries are perfect!
Best fried chicken I’ve had in a very long time! I’ll definitely be back soon!

Big JJ was a great “catch”! The onion rings were flavorful. The catfish nuggets and whiting were so good! Visiting from AZ and wanted nuggets. JJ’S was great! Friendly and welcoming. It was a pretty busy takeout place for dinner, that tells you a lot! Thanks!

I order an Italian beef today and ate half on my sandwich before I noticed it was a dead fly in it. I am pregnant and so grossed out and sick to my stomach. I can not believe I just ate food that had a dead fly in it.
