Not sure how hot your food will be if you dine in, but to go orders…. I checked the food when I got in my car, fries, burger and chopped beef were barely warm. The fries were nothing special. Also not sure how much meat is supposed to be on a chopped beef sandwich but we didn’t even get 3.5 ounces. I wasn’t aware I was supposed to get my own sauce. Good thing I had some when I got home. I would have rather driven to Webster for In&Out. Best thing here was the ice for the sodas.

this establishment serves alot of fat on togo orders and acts like it is normal. apparently you need to request they not include dog treats and actually serve the portion of meat displayed on the menu. you would do better to drive past it.

The food was okay. I ordered the brisket; the flavor was good, but the meat was a bit tough and gristly, not melt-in-your-mouth like brisket should be. Their Mac and cheese just tastes and feels like Velveeta. The Jalepeño cheese bread is good, especially when it’s toasted and buttered. I really like their crinkle cut French fries. They are very well seasoned.
Additionally, Big Horn’s options for people with a dairy allergy are few, which I can understand if that’s not their priority, but what was really frustrating was that they put cheese on a house salad after being told we needed a dairy-free side.
I would eat here again, but would not order the brisket or Mac and cheese, nor would I bring a dairy-free friend here again.

Cool atmosphere and idea – great decor. Sides are good but the okra would be phenomenal if sugar wasn’t sprinkled on top of it. Staff not usually engaging :/ Great teas & lemonades. Burgers are ok – best thing there (but they’re even better less than a mile away on Hwy 6 plus there is great BBQ, which is far superior, right next door to Big Horn). Gas is high too, compared to others nearby (that also don’t charge extra for credit card payment). Maybe bringing live music back, as they used to when 288 location was new, might allow Big Horn to find a niche to warrant frequent visits.

This is exactly why I go to H-E-B Texas BBQ now—and no longer to Big Horn.
I’m genuinely disappointed by my recent experience. I received a salad that was clearly old and brown, and it was missing several of the ingredients listed on the menu. When I called to address the issue, the manager asked me to send pictures of the salad to his personal cell phone, which I did. After reviewing the photos, he called back only to tell me that he couldn’t offer a refund. It doesn’t even look like the picture they displayed on the menu!
That kind of service is unacceptable—and I won’t be returning.

We placed a DoorDash order today, and the delivery driver only received one of the two bags. I contacted the restaurant to notify them and was initially placed on hold, then transferred to another staff member who confirmed that the second bag was still there and stated that the DoorDash driver had left it behind. I informed them that my husband would come to pick it up.
When he arrived, a young man assisted him, was extremely apologetic and provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately, the woman he interacted with was very dismissive and rude. They offered to remake the order but my husband declined. After seeing her attitude, there was no way we’d want our food remade.
We understand that mistakes happen and had no issue coming to pick up the missing bag. However, the rudeness shown toward a customer for an error clearly made by the restaurant and/or the DoorDash driver was unnecessary and unprofessional.
This was not consistent with our previous in-person experiences, but due to this interaction, we will not be returning. Customer service goes a long way, and this situation was handled poorly.
