Big G’s today in Columbia City was my breakfast provider today. I got the steak and cheese omelette with gravy on top. With a little hot sauce, it was amazing. Very filling, tons of cheese and I was able to use the rye toast to clean up the gravy afterwards. My coffee was filled at least five or six times in the 30 or so minutes I was here.

It is a sports themed restaurant, but it’s not crammed down your throat. The colts truck outside is part of the decoration. I saw the French toast and bacon on another table and I have to come back for it soon.

My wife had the Hay Stack, I had French toast, eggs, home fries and sausage. Service was great (though the food did take a long time to come from the kitchen). I especially appreciated the staff who made sure my coffee cup stayed full. The food was pretty good for the most part. I was disappointed in the generic cheese (it was like a melted Kraft cheese slice) on the scrambled eggs. And the runny/watery syrup was a big let down – I assume it was a cheap brand. But those things are nitpicks. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. We’ll probably be back.

Good food, Many Options, Great Service, Easy on The Wallet
All American diner with a sport theme. Good food, friendly staff and a nice family atmosphere. Could not resist ordering the Big G breakfast. everything was properly prepared and taste great. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to eat it all. If ever in the area again I will have to visit Big G’s again.
