This is a nice looking, inside and out, brewery serving some very good beers. Many different styles on tap, and flights are an excellent avenue to give several different beers a try without breaking the bank or your (gut) wallet. Outdoor space had (lit) firepits, and the inside was roomy, clean, and easily accessible. Beertenders were solid w/info and service. A decent amount of parking spaces available. But in the warm weather months, parking could be more of an issue. Perfect spot for after work meetings, too.

We absolutely loved this brewery! I knew about their beer and had a few of their beers during our visits to Iowa City. However, we never had gone to their brewery and restaurant. My gosh, I am sad we have been missing out on their fantastic food during the last 2 years. We will definitely be back…Food was delicious, beer was tasty (as usual) and our server (slight delayed at beginning) was very friendly. It was busy during homecoming weekend, parking was very limited.

We attended BG’s annual Richard the Whale party. Not a typical dining experience. This is a more like a Christmas party celebrating their unique Richard the Whale beer. Extensive breakfast bar, fun music, packed house, big screens, and lots of fun. You can buy a four pack and if you get there early enough, you get a “golden ticket” which gets you a special bottle. Fun times!

We hosted local and out of town guests at the tap room for our wedding welcome party on a Friday evening and had a wonderful time! The space was perfect, and the staff was easy to work with from planning to day of service. Food and drinks were great as well, everyone said they loved it!

Just like its counterparts in other cities…this place does not disappoint at all. The environment is great, both inside and out. Very easy to hold a conversation and very comfortable. Food came out very fast and tasted delicious. Well worth the experience to stop by!

Ethan provided a very bubbly and welcoming performance from the second We walk in. He grace us with his presence, got us plenty of water, and menus right away. He greeted us with smiles and joy. Lots of jokes and small conversation gave us samples when we asked for them, he was super polite throughout all of it, his camaraderie in his attitude and his joyous personality through it all persevere through our entire experience he never left a smile off of his face and never missed a beat on when we needed anything. Ethan is a very hard-working young man and deserves all the credit and praise for service at his local big Grove brewery! Thank you Ethan for the wonderful experience!

I nice place to have lunch, but a great place to get together for a few drinks. Screens for football with lots of places to watch and have fun with friends. The salmon chowder was excellent.

I LOVE big grove. The food is incredibly good, especially their rosemary focaccia as an appetizer. They are quite inclusive for those with dietary restrictions. They have tons of local brews to try, too.

Big Grove is a longtime family favorite and it’s well worth the drive from central Illinois, we visit as often as we can. Their food and drink menus truly have something for everyone, and every visit has met or exceeded our expectations. The quality is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the overall experience never disappoints. For drinks, the Easy Eddy is a must-try, it’s hands down the best flavor with an unmatched taste. For food, I highly recommend the buffalo wings. Honestly, everything I’ve tried at Big Grove has been outstanding! Can’t wait to go back!

Such a fantastic experience all around. Dog friendly patio and menu! Elli was our server. She was fast, friendly and helpful. I ordered today’s special. A Philly which came with fries. What it lacked in size or made up for in taste. The espresso martini was delicious. The entire staff was amazing from the host to the server and even the guy setting up the umbrellas was charming. They all stopped over to say hi to Romeo. Romeo ordered an unseasoned beef patty and a banana pumpkin popscicle off the dog menu. He didn’t like the dessert but he’s picky. 60 degrees outside on a march morning in Iowa. They have the fire pits on. Very nice outside. We’ll be back! This week’s #Fiftytwo5starreviews
