Tried this place for the first time and it was delicious! I got the quail claypot and salted fish and pork claypot. Both were very tasty and the rice balances out the saltiness of the meat. The eggplant with spicy garlic sauce was also really good! I recommend using their claypot sauce for an even tastier meal.

Salty Lemon Honey Drink (咸柠蜜): Tried it for the first time—super refreshing and thirst-quenching! Perfect for summer.

Beef Brisket Wonton Noodles (牛腩云吞面): The beef brisket was incredibly tender and flavorful. The noodles were smooth and springy, and the broth was rich and savory. The wonton skins were slightly overcooked, but overall, it was excellent.

Beef Chow Chow Mein (牛肉炒车仔面): The biggest surprise of the meal! Full of wok hei (aroma of the wok), packed with veggies, and before I knew it, I’d eaten a ton of veggies. A perfect balance of healthy and delicious.

Rice Noodle Roll (肠粉): Absolutely lives up to the hype! I’ve had many rice noodle rolls before, but this was the first time I truly understood how amazing they can be—thin, silky, and delicious.

Clay Pot Rice (煲仔饭): Also outstanding! The rice was fragrant and slightly crispy at the bottom, and the toppings were generous. It was so good I forgot to take a picture!

It was my first time trying this location. I was introduced to it by the one in Quincy, but it seems the Brookline branch has more dishes. The staff in Quincy mentioned that the Brookline one is currently fine-tuning and updating their menu, so I’d love to come back and try it again next time.

A very authentic little eatery. The curry fish balls with rice noodles are delicious, and the beef brisket clay pot rice is also excellent. We also ordered the coconut black chicken soup and pork liver. There aren’t many seats. Parking is only available on the street.

A little hole in the wall restaurant, service is friendly and small seating area. The clay pot with rice and meat stays nice and hot, needs a little more of the sauce in my opinion, which you can find on the table. The beef chow fun is excellent, good balance and not too oily. The fivespice duck is okay, watch the little bone shards because they cut it up fresh.

Amazing Cantonese food and attentive service at Big Fun Cafe.

This is one of the best Cantonese restaurants that I’ve ever been to so far. The rice rolls and clay pot rice are authentic and must-have.

The staff were attentive and friendly from start to finish. The space was limited, so there may be a wait if you come during peak dinner time.

Street parkings were available nearby and should not be difficult to find.

This restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine and is a great choice for those looking to experience traditional Chinese home-style dishes. The prices are very reasonable. However, the restaurant is relatively simple in terms of ambiance, and parking is only available on the roadside, so plan accordingly. Overall, it’s ideal for those who prioritize taste!

The rice rolls at Big Fun Cafe are great—very authentic and incredibly tasty. It’s affordable too, which makes it even better. I would definitely recommend getting a rice roll if you stop by. Although the location might seem a little sketchy, it’s worth visiting if you’re in the area and looking for a quick bite!

Ordered the Spare Ribs with Black Beans Clay Pot Rice ($14.25). It took exactly fifteen minutes to cook, as stated on the menu. The price was decent for the portion size.

The spare ribs were very tender. There was a lot more rice than meat. Some of the rice was burnt, which was unpleasant to eat. There is a line between crispy, golden clay pot rice and burnt rice. Overall, it was still pretty good and filling.

A great local restaurant serving authentic Cantonese dishes. Tried 2 of their clay pot rice dishes (Chinese Sausage & Bacon and Chicken & Mushroom) and it’s worth the wait (we ordered in advance while waiting for a table), 2 of their rice noodles (BBQ Pork and Shrimp) and their Beef Brisket E-Fun Noodles. Everything was delicious! I can’t forget to mention their HK Milk Tea. I had it hot and it’s one of the best I’ve had in a while. I would definitely come back again!
