Yummy! We stopped by for the first time and were greeted warmly. Right now, they are still serving from their food truck but they told us they will be opening their brick and mortar, located at the same location soon! I got the ribs and sausage entree with macaroni and cheese and green beans. It comes with two pieces of sliced bread, onions and pickles. We also got the brisket entree, pulled pork sandwich and loaded baked potato. Everything was so delicious. I mean really delicious. I’m sad that we waited so long to try them out! We also got their banana pudding cake for dessert. So good! We will be back soon!

I was craving BBQ and I’m extremely picky with some quality BBQ… saw this spot, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. They did NOT disappoint. The meat is so tender, juicy, perfectly cooked. So much flavor and the smoke on the flavor makes it even better. Sides are DELICIOUS, especially that Mac! I’m still trying every single thing on the menu but the pics are of what I’ve had so far. I hope this business makes it BIG. But please don’t ever change your cooking or recipes! they’re perfect!! YUM.

Loved dinner at Fred’s! Here on a business trip & after driving by Fred’s every day we decided to check it out on our last night & wow, definitely worth a visit. I had a two meat platter (brisket & pulled pork) with green beans & Mac & cheese & everything was delicious. Fred was awesome with food customer service & sitting at a picnic table in the warm Texas sunshine with a hot plate & cold Coke was the best. Picture attached was after I started eating; it all smelled so good I jumped in before taking a picture- portions are large & generous.

Stopped by here for a nonprofit event they were hosting. They also allowed other food trucks and vendors. There was also a live band on stage. There’s about 10 picnic tables and a few sitting areas around the stage. Lastly, there’s a few yard games that can be played in the large lawn area.
For the food, ordered some wings, nachos, and a Strawberry Poke Cake. They give you a buzzer to notify you when your order is ready. Food was freshly made and ready within 10 minutes. Enjoyed the wings as they were basically smoked without any sauce so you got the true flavor. Nachos had a lot of ingredients, cake was very moist.

First time here and everything was delicious! We ordered two 2 meat plates that came with 2 sides. The pulled pork was delicious and was rich in flavor, the brisket was so tender that I could cut it with my fork, the green beans were truly southern and rich in flavor, and the potato salad was amazing! They have a lot of parking available and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. You will need to order first at the food truck and they have in door seating available which was very clean and a great way to escape the heat. I highly recommend you give them a try.

Ordered for delivery! On vacation and in town visiting a friend. Noticed the rating of Fred’s was pretty good and so gave it a shot. So far only had half my order and I’m more than satisfied! The portions were quite generous for the price! The quality, taste, and freshness were all top notch! Thanks again for another highlight of my vacation!

My husband and I stopped by for dinner here. The owners were super nice and friendly. We each ordered our own plates but oh my, it was so much food, we probably would’ve been ok sharing the 2 meat plate. The BBQ sauce was delicious. The green beans was my personal favorite side. Time to get a bite to eat on a Saturday night. Heard about this place by word of mouth and I had seen it on my scrolling through restaurants and barbecue near me. Decided to give it a try tonight. Pretty easy to find on the northeast side of San Antonio right on an access road. Outside food truck with plenty of seating at picnic tables. Tables have umbrella’s over them and the also light up. There’s a lot to do for kids as well. Horseshoes, ping pong, cornhole and more. Good family atmosphere there tonight. I tried the brisket, sausage, mac and cheese and green beans with a water. Friendly service, nice people, reasonably priced. To meat two sides and a water plus tax $17.32. Food was prepared on site. Plate was put together quickly. The brisket was nice and moist not dry or overcooked. The sausage had a good taste to it as well. The BBQ sauce in the cup was a bit more runny than most places. But, it had a good taste and a bit of a kick to it. The sides were good also. Definitely recommend this location if you get a chance. If you’re in San Antonio it’s on the northbound Access road between Evans road and Retama race track. They also have a loyalty card working your way to discounts and free food. Give it a try

A fantastic find in San Antonio! I was a little skeptical when we drove up but man, am I glad we stayed. This was some of the best BBQ I have had in Texas and much more reasonably priced than others around the area. I got the 2 meat with brisket and smoked turkey. They were both phenomenal! The green beans were well seasoned as were the fries. The outdoor atmosphere was fun and inviting, especially on a warm March evening. Also, I’m always impressed with the cooks (who I know are tired from making food all day) come out to interact and check on the customers. I definitely recommend and I will come back the next time I’m in SAT.

Great little food truck. I got the brisket, sausage, mac & cheese, and green beans. My brisket was nice and tender, sausage complimented the entire meal. Even the butter that I asked for to put on my bread was delicious. Stopped here for a quick bite while I was on the road. Definitely coming back if I am in town again.
