Big Fish is our favorite restaurant in the Orange Beach area. They have so different kinds of fish & options on how to prepare it. The presentation is always beautiful! We ate here only once last year while visiting and when going this year, Chris remembered us and said: Hey, you are my Iowa friends. That tells you how good the service is. We are eating there tonight for our 3rd time this visit! Picture is the bronzed grouper. I did substitute the spinach for green beans. Ask for the Cilantro lime dressing for your salad!

The Sashimi Sampler & Rainbow roll was phenomenal. The fish was so tender you savored every bite. We also had the firecracker shrimp fired rice was tasty. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end my night.

Big Fish is probably our favorite restaurant to go to when we’re down at Orange Beach, AL. No matter what you order on the menu, it’s always amazing. Even my daughter’s grilled cheese was awesome (and I don’t usually like grilled cheese). I do recommend a reservation as this spot is popular.
We ordered a couple of the fresh catches of the day finished with the Big Fish style topping, fire cracker shrimp (with added spice), ribeye steak, and grilled cheese. Thanks for the amazing and memorable dinners, Big Fish. Everything was amazing!

We found the restaurant early in our stay and returned twice. Great food. Friendly service.
A nice wine list with some well known names at unsurprising restaurant prices.
The fish was excellent. Grouper and mahi were wonderful. Get the Big Fish preparation as it has a very nice ginger seasoning with jasmine rice.
The bread pudding dessert is delicious.
This was a surprise to find but a real gem. This will stay on our restaurant list for future stays

The food is absolutely divine! I highly recommend the grouper with the asian twist. The cucumbers were also outstanding, and the sushi was a hit. We love coming here and can’t wait to come back!

6 top there for a birthday party and we had: appetizers of beef tataki, seaweed salad, cucumber salad, dumplings, and crab claws. The only seasoning on anything of those dishes was the sesame oil on the beef. Then we each got entrees and drinks. I can’t speak to what everyone thought about their entrees, but…
I worked for a sushi restaurant in college, so I can tell just by looking at a spicy tuna roll whether or not it will be good. And when they sat my plate down I was bummed.
Overall, not a bad place. Good service, it does all the things of being nice and to be “the” place around town. Locals rave about it. But personally I don’t get it.

The food is impeccable, the chefs special is always amazing! Sushi is flavorful and amazing. We got the golden tile, Philly roll and fried fish for the kids. Complimentary crackers and butter are a nice touch! This is our second time back in the area and we always go here to eat!

Every time I visit family in the area, Big Fish is a place I make sure to stop by. I have learned over time that it is essential to either book a reservation or get there early before the crowd starts to pour in. During my most recent visit, the experience was excellent from start to finish. The waitress was very friendly and even took the time to help others at the table with their dinner selections, which really added to the welcoming atmosphere.
The service was on par throughout the evening, with our drinks never running empty and the food arriving without a long wait. Most of my group opted for the firecracker shrimp dinner, which featured shrimp without the tails, fried rice, and a fried egg with slivers of cucumber garnish. I decided on the crab cakes, which were served over a bed of fried rice alongside tempura-fried green beans and a drizzle of wasabi sauce. Even though I can’t recall the specific name of the sauce used on the crab cakes, I do know that when our food arrived, the presentation was top-notch.
In the end, the portions were so generous that everyone cleaned their plates, leaving no room at all for dessert. It is worth noting for anyone planning a visit that if you have a large party of six or more, the restaurant will not split the bill, so I recommend keeping that in mind before you go. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the service, and we will certainly be back.

If I could leave 10 stars I would. The food was exceptional, the menu had so many great seafood options – but the sushi, the grouper, AND Jolly Rancher martinis… say less. Would hands down come back and would recommend anyone thinking of eating here to do so!

Great choice for date night while on vacation. We started with the lobster roll, which was so light and flavorful. Amazing fresh fish/scallops dishes and the honey cake was literally icing on the cake! Our Server was Niya S and she had great recommendations and was very attentive. Already looking forward to our next trip!
