We decided to stop in since our flights were canceled to Pittsburgh due to weather and so happy we did! This was our first time here. What a great place! Very clean, bright and festive and great service! Everyone was super friendly but I want to give a special shoutout to Blake! She’s very upbeat with a wonderful customer service attitude. She was very patient with us. It was a bit confusing to us since we’ve never been but she helped get our “boils” together and even helped us out with a cheaper option since it was 2 of us ordering the same thing. Thank you Blake for your patience and thank you Big EZ for such a great staff and delicious entrees. We will be back tomorrow!

Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The garlic butter sauce is a must have for the seafood boils. Crawfish were really small but still good. Garlic noodles are so flavorful and oysters were tasty. The drinks had me feeling real cute!
This place is 10 out of 10.

Had Viet Cajun fresh live crawfish and fried oysters for $8.99 and it was the best crawfish ever. I’ll be back again soon because it’s that good. Zoey is an angel. I will be coming back because her service was also incredible along with most delicious food. Absolutely just love this place. 10/5 is not enough for this restaurant. Also it looks like they get fresh seafood every day delivered.

The Energy is Big EZ was immaculate. I ordered the charbroiled oysters and crab cakes. I’m not sure if I’m not a fan of charbroiled food or if those oysters tasted like a whooper from BK! not impressed! I love oysters raw to steamed. I just didn’t enjoy them. Crab cakes were delicious! Our server was so sweet and attentive

I ordered the Fried cat fish PO Boy and a side of seafood gumbo. Decent food, authentic, fresh, and hot. Fair priced, great customer service and that traditional New Orleans atmosphere. My 4 star reflects the portion of seafood gumbo for the price.

Been dining here two days in a row—Big EZ Seafood and Oyster is my must-eat spot every year during my NOLA trip! I’ve come with both family and friends, and the food never changes—it’s always so good. The oysters are fresh and creamy, and everything is full of flavor. Our waitress Erin was super sweet and helpful too. The quality and taste stay consistent year after year. Can’t wait to see if they add any new items next time!

This was probably the best place I ate while in New Orleans. I went here twice. I really enjoyed the ez blend seafood boil. The raw oysters were also delicious here. And the char broiled oysters are simple with bread crumbs and butter.

This was our first time in this restaurant. As we were ordering food. They have in very small font that seafood is non refundable. We ordered The Dirty loaded fries which was a joke. Then we ordered the Bayou Self Basket, sauce EZ blend. It was beyond terrible. Instantly made our stomachs hurt. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and switched it to garlic butter sauce. It was better but still not good. We literally ate a half a potato, egg, and 1 shrimp. The manager told us we still had to pay for it which is beyond me! I didn’t want to escalate the situation so we paid.

All of the food tasted delicious! Our server Erin was really nice and informative about our order. Not to mention, the decorum looked beautiful with wall paintings of everything that represents Louisiana (seafood, LSU & Saints football, & homages to Vietnamese fishermen who work on boats at Empire).
We ordered their “Pick 3” Boiled Seafood Basket option with Crawfish, Snow Crabs, Mussels, Boiled Eggs, Sausage, & Potatoes. The “Pick 3” option gave us an extra 1 lbs of crawfish. For the basket, we went with the Cajun Citrus option, which added a nice tangy taste to the basket! The only issue I really had was that they didn’t put the price on the menu beforehand, so I was a bit shocked to find out that the entire basket costed $84.00. I didn’t mind paying for it, but I wished they would’ve let us know how much it costed before we ordered it. Although it tasted really good, I also feel like they should’ve added a bit more seafood in the basket since it was $84.00, but that’s just me personally.
We also got additional side plates, such as their famous Garlic Noodles ($5.99), Garlic Fries ($4.99), & Bread Pudding for dessert ($8.50). In contrast to the seafood basket, these plates had the price on the menu beforehand and were definitely worth the price in my opinion. The garlic noodles weren’t too salty and had the right amount of flavor to it! So did the garlic fries. The bread pudding was fried to perfection and was perfectly topped off with vanilla ice cream at the top.
If it wasn’t for the overpriced seafood basket, I would’ve given this review 5 stars. Aside from that, I’d recommend this place if you’re a seafood lover and love a Cajun twist to the mix!
