One of the best breakfast spots around. Very good and fresh food. Definitely an old time restaurant feel. Definitely would be back.

I love this place! Used to come here all the time but moved to another county… made the trip and can’t wait to do it again. Our waitress Jessica was AMAZING!! I hope the owners notice her ☝️ food is great, wish the western omelet had more egg and less filling but overall a 10+… can’t wait to get the other locations… great job Jessica

i enjoyed the food, but the decor kind of freaked me out. there were a much of farming tools hanging from the ceiling, and the general vibe in there made me feel like it wasn’t the cleanest, best vibe. however, the staff were sweet and the portion sizes were big and cheap. there was a large line outside, but it went surprisingly quickly.

Neat place, lots of “stuff” in the ceiling. Food was very good. I had the sausage and cheddar omelet (I added mushrooms) with grits and biscuit. My wife had the Chicken and pastry (dumplings) with butter beans, collards, apple crisp, and cornbread.

Let’s Talk about Southern Hospitality! This was indeed my first visit to Big Ed’s. I had the Ribeye with a Hot Cake and some potatoes. The meal could have been seasoned but everything was good. The Hot Cake was huge! Overall I would go back to try something else.

Alright y’all – this is about as GOOD AS IT GETS. I wanna eat here for break every freakin morning because it’s THAT good. First and foremost, we received the best service ever experienced from our server Ari. He was super informative, funny and fast! He gave us all the specials and kept my coffee mug full! It was hard to decide since there’s so many choices ranging from multiple omelets to pancakes or French toast. I w decided to go simple and got the one egg plate, scrambled with cheddar cheese. Bacon. And home fries. A side of whole wheat toast and jam. Wow!!!! The eggs were perfectly scrambled and the cheese melty and plenty. The bacon was perfectly fried and crispy. The home fries were EXCELLENT. The flavor and crisp was there and it was my favorite part of the plate. I wish I was there right now eating the same exact thing.

Food was great and friendly service. Atmosphere is that of a community cabin when you go camping. Laughter and happiness when you enter. Make sure you have a big appetite if you order the Hot cakes.

Very solid food, down home country cooking. Thoroughly enjoyed my steak eggs and potatoes, wasn’t 100% sold on the biscuits but could consistently come and be happy with the same meal. Would like to try the ham next time

Very cool decor and great customer service. Breakfast was good, not great. Portions are huge, so you will get full for sure. But taste was just normal, nothing special.

Stopped in here for a bite while driving through Raleigh … sure glad we did! What a wonderful place to eat! The decor simply makes one smile and reminisce. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. The biscuits had a unique chewy texture and were absolutely amazing! I can’t get over the size of the hotcakes! Apparently if you can devour three in 45 minutes or less you win a free tee shirt … good luck!! If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll be back. Five hours later and I still don’t want to eat dinner!!
