I’m a southern girl the barbecue was not bbq’ n at all. This was this worst I’ve ever ate and it made my sons stomach ache. The macaroni was the worst.

Stood in line so happy to finally get some pulled pork and brunswick stew! After what seemed like 5 min. I over heard the lady tell the women before me that they didn’t have pulled pork and they haven’t served brunswick stew in a long time. I re asked the question to have it confirmed. Why is it call barbeque if you don’t serve the food. All over it has signs for stew and pulled pork. Boooo

We’ve had Big Ed’s a couple of times before he moved and the food was always great. The food from this visit was awful. We ordered two pull pork dinners and a rib tip dinner with two lemonades. It came out to $44. Each plate came with two sides. We had the same sides Mac and cheese and baked beans. The Mac and Cheese was hard and barely edible. The baked beans were straight out the can. And the lemonade was Country Time with no sugar added. We didn’t wait long and it was obvious that nothing was that fresh. I would have given the pull pork a pass until I chewed something rubbery. We will never go again.

Ordered takeout online, which took forever to pick-up after I arrived. They didn’t have one of the menu items I ordered so, I had to substitute it for something else. Customer service was decent. BBQ was okay…myself as well as family found it to be too salty from over seasoning. I had to rinse the ribs to make it palatable. The greens were okay…too much vinegar and salt. I may give them a second try in the future if nothing else is available in the area.

The people are friendly and welcoming genuinely I like them having laughed both visits, the few issues I’ve had are probably due to the timing that I frequent and will probably be worked out in time. Sides were good, though a tad eccentrically priced. I will visit again in the future at an respectable hour ready for tasty ribs

My husband and I use to go to Big Ed’s when he was in Riverdale. We went to his new location today and ordered a pulled pork sandwich, 3 rib bone sandwich and a half a slab. I couldn’t see the pull pork under the bun. The portion size is for a kid’s meal. The ribs were tough not tender. I will not be visiting this location again.

I ordered wings and fries using Ubereats and when my food arrived there were no napkins in the bag and the food tasted terrible. The fries tasted like they were frozen for years. The wings tasted like vomit. I expected more from a “BBQ” place. This is the worst food that I have ever tasted at a Barbeque place. When you know better you do better!

I, didn’t get what I wanted and although I was trying to meet in the middle since he already chopped the chicken in so many words he said no, then told the young man to give me 4 slices of bread when it clearly stated on the menu the sandwich comes with tomatoes, cheese, onions etc. I got home and tried the chicken only since he didn’t make the sandwich I wanted and it was terrible ( probably would have been better in a sandwich that i ordered from the menu!). So I went ahead and tried the baked beans which are just canned baked beans nothing added to it. Very disappointed first visit I won’t be back that’s what i get for cheating on hookah bbq.

Big Ed, love the ribs!! Ed’s very much friendly to his customers and wants them to experience a good eat. I eat there almost every week cause the ribs, wings, banana pudding, and homemade lemonade is delicious!
