What a great place! It’s always cool to find good Cajun cooking in Georgia. Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday and the food came out quickly and was great – loved the ribs and the Mac and cheese. I liked the decor and, if you’re a sports fan, you’ll appreciate the multiple televisions.

You know how you always hope to find those amazing little hole in the wall mom and pop places? If you love Cajun food? I found it. You’re welcome. Way up in north Cherokee County, far away from the swamp and gators, is this great little restaurant. Is not too fancy, but who cares. If you want the best shrimp and grits, fried gator tail, amazing wings and their own great dipping sauce, this is the place for you. Our waitress almost has me believe she was the chef. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She knew the menu inside and out. Reasonable prices for the quality. It may be out of the way, but totally worth it. I spent a week in Lafayette LA. Ate at all the local hot spots. This place would be right at home there. So if you want some good Cajun food, I found it. Sorry bout the pics, I was hungry. Oh well. Lol!

Great place with great service! We ordered gator bites, fried pickles, big amazing potato and of course the bread pudding. Everything tasted amazing and I love that they use tallow for the fried foods. Definitely recommend checking them out!

So, my wife and I were drawn to this restaurant after reading all of the 5 star reviews. Let’s just say we were not disappointed. The staff members were friendly, courteous and well…

The St. Louis ribs were moist, cooked right enough to melt in our mouths. The dirty rice was spot on. The cornbread was so good that my wife ordered another one. She didn’t talk a lot because she was busy devouring the collards and red beans and rice. We haven’t dug into the bread pudding and key lime pie yet….rubbing my stomach.

The atmosphere was welcoming, laid back and a place we will venture to again soon.

6 stars overall!!!

I was hoping that the food was good especially after paying almost a $100, driving 30 minute to pick it up and then 30 minutes to drive home! Ribs (DRY) chicken wings, (DRY) and grits, gritty undercooked, pulled pork dry…the fried alligator moist but salty and the jalapeno hushpuppies were pretty good. So basically, gas and $100 for hush puppies. So disappointing.

Boy is it hard to find a good BBQ place. Most companies will charge you an arm and a leg for their food. At the end you walk out thinking that was just OK. Definitely not coming here again, but next time you have the BBQ crave you end up going again only to be disappointed. I SAY ALL THIS BECAUSE I FINALLY FOUND A PLACE THAT IS GOOD BBQ. I’m hesitant in sharing this place becouse I feel like I found a gem. Kinda just want to keep it hush hush so that I will always have availability when I come. But, that would be selfish. This place has really good BBQ. The meat is smoked for 16 hours. You really taste the rich smokey flavors. Even hours after you eat, the amazing taste lingers in your mouth. I really like the atmosphere. The restrooms are really clean. The staff is friendly. Good portion sizes for what they are charging. Fair price for a premium product.

Went back to the Big Easy last night for the first time in a long time. The meal was fantastic. I ordered the exact thing I get at a restaurant up the street (that I really like) and the food was a good bit better here. 1/2 chicken was fantastic. Skin was crispy (which can be rubbery on a smoked chicken sometimes) and meat was super moist. Collards here are next level good. Mac is spot on. Not sure why this place fell out of my rotation. It’s back in! Wish they had some beers on draft, but they have a good canned selection. Wine pours could be a little better (maybe a 4-5oz actual pour) but we had a brand-new server and she might have been a little conservative on her first day.

Honestly eh, pretty underwhelming. Server was sweet and restaurant was nice but food was lacking like a lot.

Don’t order the red beans. Especially not if you are expecting Louisiana authenticity and flavor. Basically tastes like they simmered red kidneys beans in chicken broth for an hour, added three pieces of sausage and called it a day.

My friends and I arrived on a sunday around 12 noon. Upon arrival we were greated by a very friendly hostess and we were seated immediately. The menu has a lot of delicious sounding options to choose from and my friends and I had a hard time choosing. The restaurant was as clean as could be with great lighting and the atmosphere was beautiful. With that being said, let’s get to the food…

The appetizers are better than the BBQ. Im not sure how the cajun side of the menu is but as far as the BBQ goes… maybe i just had it on a bad day. I ordered the alligator bites and my friends ordered the jalapeño hushpuppies and they were both incredible. With that being said we were very excited for the BBQ. My friend and I ordered the 2 meat plate (pulled pork and fatty cut brisket) with mac & cheese and cheese grits for the sides. His girlfriend ordered the banana foster french toast. The french toast slices were tiny and not as good as she was hoping for. Our 2 meat plates came with a piece of untoasted, dry, stale bread that was not soft, buttered, seasoned or anything.

The spicy BBQ sauce was… ok but the sweet BBQ sauce just tasted like ketchup. Disgusting with no flavor what so ever. The brisket was 1 thin D R Y slice and the pulled pork was a small cup sized portion (and most of the pulled pork was thick fatty pieces with very little pork) that was also extremely D R Y. The sides were cold and unseasoned. The service and atmosphere were 100% but the entrees were sub par at best and for how much it cost just me to eat($45 with tip for the alligator bites, the 2 meat plate and a water), I left extremely disappointed.
