We were looking for a relaxed dinner spot when we found Big Dave & Holly’s. Our food was delicious and the lady working the front was nice. My husband ordered a Root Beer float to go at the end of dinner and when she found out we were at a hotel in town for the Eagle Fest, she even included a cup with extra Root Beer. ❤️

Wanted to love this place! The atmosphere and location were so charming and the solo staff (owner, cashier, and cook) was wonderful and welcoming.
Our food however was sincerely disappointing (watery beef gravy and a tenderloin that tasted off) It might just be a preference thing because the spot was packed with locals who were raving about their meals.
Not wanting to drag this great spot down but also giving a heads up to others – the crinkle cut fries were perfect though.

This is a hidden gem in LeClaire! I had one of their sandwiches and it was absolutely delicious – made with fresh, quality ingredients and served on perfectly toasted bread. The price was very reasonable for the portion and flavor. The sweet pickles… they added the perfect touch and made the whole sandwich phenomenal. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

I love this place. If you’re on a tow boat it’s easy to lay in on the bank and send the guys over to get some grub. I got the breaded pork tenderloin and mushrooms. Both were excellent. The pork loin is not beat so thin that it’s mostly breading. It’s a nice thick piece breaded evenly. Could easily make 2 sandwiches. I try to stop when ever I’m up this way.

Father and son lunch while the girls were out shopping. We had the cheeseburgers and they were about the best we ever had. Everything made fresh to order. Then we had the soft serve ice cream and played tic tac toe in the wonderful family friendly environment. Is a definite to-do for anyone visiting Le Claire!

Leaving a genuine five stars all across the board from the kindness of my heart for how great the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich I ordered from here was. It was amazing. If I ever come around this part of Iowa again, I need to make a pitstop here and get some more of that. I’m serious, thank you guys for the amazing food, and small cozy diners like this are so me.
