We had the pulled pork sandwich basket in the rib basket.
The pulled pork was moist and wonderfully smokey. The fries and okra were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
The ribs had a perfect char on the outside and were delicious.
Crystal our server was both friendly and informative. Quick with the drink refills as well.
Our first visit and we will definitely be going back!

Absolutely loved my experience here from beginning to end. I was greeted when I came in, all the staff was incredibly kind and sweet. But most importantly the food was absolutely amazing. I got the ribs and the loaded fries appetizer. I’ll definitely be back, it seems rare that you find such quality customer service!

I went to Big Dave’s BBQ for the first time for lunch. I got a brisket sandwich plate with Cajun fries. The brisket was tender and had a good smokey flavor. The sauce went really well with the beef, not too sweet, not too tangy. The fries were crispy and the Cajun seasoning was a nice touch. The wait staff were nice and that’s always a plus. I’ll be back to try the pork next.

Do yourself a *huge* favor and come to this place ASAP. EVERYTHING here was incredible. The food was amazing, the service was friendly and wonderful, and the restaurant was clean. BEST BBQ *I* have personally had locally. Our waitress was Big Dave’s daughter and she was *wonderful* . 11/10, will definitely be back.

We had a great meal for a group of 40 high school football players. We had plenty of food even though it technically wasn’t an all you can eat set up. Everyone left feeling stuffed!

Our buffet included pulled pork, chopped brisket and chopped chicken with mac and cheese, baked beans, and cole slaw as sides. We topped it off with banana pudding for dessert. Big Dave brought some sweet potato crunch for the coaches to try…. All of it was great!

The food was great, but the people made it even better. Dave and his daughters were easy to work with for a large group and treated us like family.

I highly recommend stopping at Big Dave’s!

First visit here, but it will absolutely not be the last for us. The customer service is out of this world, along with the food. Pictured is the burnt ends with cajun fries, Pulled pork & mac and cheese toaster with cajun fries & sweet potato crunch, & homemade banana pudding. I will say, i’ve never had banana pudding with pineapple in it so that was a surprise but everything is so delicious here. ❤️ Seriously take the time to come here, you won’t regret it ❤️

After so many 5 star reviews I decided to give this place a shot. I should have listened to the 1 star reviews.

The restaurant itself is fine. It appeared to be clean and the service was good. There was just me and one other table in the restaurant at noon on a Saturday. Probably should’ve been clue number 1.

The brisket was chewy and tasted dry and old. It had a good smoke ring but the flavor was bland. They claim Texas style bbq but there wasn’t hardly any salt or pepper on it. I think they probably use their own dry rub that’s lacking in those two departments.

The pork was simply inedible. Zero flavor! It was woefully undercooked for proper pulled pork. It was very chewy. It’s like they cooked it to an internal temp of 180 degrees and then chopped it into small pieces. Pork butt is minimum 195-205 internal temp and it will fall apart in your hands.

The nice lady asked if I wanted a box for the pork that I took 2 bites of and I said……No.

1/2lb pork, 1/2 lb of brisket, and tea….$34 including tip.

Check this one off the list. I won’t be back.

The ribs were seasoned and smoked to perfection. I’m a Memphis girl so when it comes to food I am often disappointed. Big Dave did not disappoint. The sauce is good but I didn’t need it. I prefer my sauce cooked on my meat but when the meat is delicious you don’t need any sauce. The hotdog was cooked to perfection with a grilled bun. The pineapple lemonade OMG. Don’t forget the chocolate cake. Even if you have to take it home for later. I did find the mac n cheese too oily sorry. I’m pretty sure this will be my family’s summer station because I have to try the brisket now.

Omg we found our new favorite bbq joint! Definitely loved pork ribs and smoked wings the most. We didn’t have a large enough appetite to order their sliced brisket. But everything we had was amazing. The pork ribs fell off the bone. The smoked wings omg oh so good *chef kiss* The Mac and cheese was the bomb and the other sides we got too. Also, Dave the owner and his staff frequent came to check in on us. Love this place and will recommend to friends and family.

P.S. get the banana pudding.

Wanted to like Big Dave’s, even had his grandson as our server, but unfortunately just can’t recommend. My usual lunch colleagues and I all had baskets with the Cajun Fries, with two pulled pork sandwiches and a brisket sandwich. The pulled pork (basket- $10.99) was a reasonable portion but both of my lunch cohorts said it was just unremarkable in flavor. I had the brisket (basket- $14.99) which is always my yardstick when rating BBQ. The best thing I can say is that it was a generous portion, but it was chopped and highly sauced, a usual cover for lower quality brisket. No comparison to competition BBQ like Bobby’s or SBH or Smoky Dreams, for sure. Both of my friends had water, which they were charged $2 each for. When they asked Dave’s grandson AFTER they got their ticket, they were told “it comes out of the same fountain as the soft drinks”. As for my bill sticker shock, I was charged a surcharge of $0.66 for using my credit card, and the charge was $0.30 higher than the bill I was shown (sweet tea was $2.80). With the surprise charges and really average lunch, there’s no reason to come back.
