Big Chew Chew’s is Temple’s best burger joint. Old fashioned, family-friendly, and so, so delicious. The fries are seasoned well, the burgers are grilled to perfection, and the onion rings taste incredible. The people are so friendly here.
Also, don’t skip the shakes! 10/10, I’ve yet to have a bad flavor!

They have the best French fries that I think I’ve had stateside. A thicker cut is always better than a shoestring in my opinion and these are perfect.
My burger was over by a lot, I asked for medium rare & got done. but it was still delicious. I’ve never had a mushroom swiss with lettuce & pickle before. I ended up pulling them off. Again a personal preference for vegetables on burgers.
The peach cobbler with ice cream was so good we ate the whole thing which we seldom do with sweets.

After looking at some of the negative reviews, i was concerned a bit about flavors and consistancy. I should have stuck with all the positives! Yes inflation has screwed everyone over pretty bad, but the price for two bacon cheese burger combos with sweet tea were not badly priced. The fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and well flavored. For the burger, the bacon was perfectly cooked (better than my own on most days), the cheddar cheese was melted amazingly, the lettuce was crisp indicating freshness, and the bun had a subtle yet delicious butter toastedness. The sweet tea was a very pleasant surprise. It is not overly sweet and not under sweet, a perfection. 10/10 will be going back again for sure!

Great old fashioned burgers and fries. Service was perfect. Lobby is closed currently, so I went through the drive thru. I got a cheeseburger, fries, Pepsi, and snow cone. The snow cone and soft drinks come with a thick, crushed ice. Very good! Loved the burger. The fries were hot and fresh. Generous portions ( I upsized).

We happened to see this place from the road as we were driving around running some errands, and the big, bright mural on the side of the building grabbed our attention. Being avid hamburger fans, we knew we had to try it out! We noticed the cleanliness of the place, and the cheerfulness of the staff as soon as we walked in the door. The menu prices were quite reasonable. The hot, freshly cooked food was a treat to our taste buds. You could tell the meat was fresh. No pre-made frozen patties here! SCORE!!! We were pleased with our meal and are certain we will become regulars, as soon as we get moved into the area. Highly recommend their burgers!

To Go Review: We ordered and burgers were ready in about 15 minutes. Had the Cajun Burger with a side of Jalapeno Cheddar Poppers. Their drive through is smooth because you won’t get stuck waiting for others to get food as the pick up window is on the other side of the building from where you order. If you order ahead, you can pick up from the initial ordering window and don’t have to go around to the other side.
The cajun burger wasn’t really a stand out in any way. Seems like they just threw a little cajun seasoning on the plain burger patty (Didn’t taste any Cajun Sauce). I’d just go for a cheeseburger or something simple. The bun and other ingredients were just standard. As many other reviews said, it’s okay, but not great. The jalapeno poppers were tasty, but you get 3 so order more if you’re looking to share with anyone.

Went with friends, the shakes are to die for. I got peanut butter cookie and they got strawberry and peppermint. The food it’s self definitely wasn’t worth the money that we had to spend on it. So I only would recommend coming here for a treat, not your meal for the day. Other than that, friendly and patient employees and fast service.

Had the opportunity to come and try some burgers, got a kids burger, mushroom swiss, and a bacon cheese burger, Cajun fries, and strawberry cheese cake milkshake, wow kids burger is a kids size perfect for 4 year old girls. All the burgers were fresh and delicious, milk shake didn’t disappoint at all. Marc the cook did an amazing job, thank you for the great food amazing staff and service
