The amount of times I’ve been in here; can’t believe I never put a review up..so here goes. They post everyday on the Clinton Talk page or on Charles Massey’s page the menu for the day. It’s a huge buffet that normally consists of the standard that you can expect as follows: Baked and Fried Chicken, Collards and Cabbage, Brown and White Gravy, Mac and Cheese and then special stuff like the chicken bacon ranch, tangy meatballs etc. I make it here every couple weeks. Super friendly and always welcoming you in by name, and have your drinks ready (when they know what you usually get). They take pride in saying “best salad bar in Clinton” and it’s true…no other place can match the variety. Some days, food is hot and fresh, other days it seems nuke warm..but it’s still good. I can’t speak for the dinner, as I only come out during lunch. Bathrooms are always clean. Parking lot…it’s a royal pain if going out the backside of it…(pot holes the size of the gopher hole from caddyshack)…all in all, I have nothing bad to say about this place.

Large buffet, full of hearty choices, but only liked the fried chicken. Crispy skin on fried chicken with juicy meat, but pretty greasy! Food was bland and needed to be salted, especially the collards and Mac and cheese. Beans were overly sweet, not good. Cake was homemade but very dry! Server was quick to refill drinks and clean off used plates. Reasonably priced and easy to find. Not the greatest country cooking but not the worst. Probably won’t return for more.

Well let’s just say it was awful the eggs was scorched, bacon half done, pancakes was like rubber, the sausage gravy had no sausage in it, and they only had little to no butter for grits which was watered down, the biscuits was to think which made them feel like they was not done would have been perfect for gravy biscuits yes i tried them but ended up just getting up and leaving even the tea was weak. My fiance said he has never tasted grits that tasted like that before. Come on Big Boys get a better cook because i have eaten there before but the last couple of times have been just plain awful the time before this my daughter in law found pastic in her bbq told the waitress and nothing was done and for $27.62 (Saturday) and higher during the week you would think that the food would be great and I know you would not serve what we had Saturday morning to any of your family because it was not fit to eat. Oh and please clean your coffee cups better.

Excellent, Excellent, Country Fare. If it could be fried, they fried it. So what, they offered lots of vegetables that were cooked very well, not overly saucy, not swimming in butter but still flavorful. We particularly liked the roasted brussels and the colard greens. You know a restaurant knows their stuff when they have pepper sauce and hot sauce sitting on every table. It really just sits the tone. My children were introduced to fatback and had to be cut off because, fatback. Everyone agreed the bourbon bread pudding was the best thing ever. Staff was friendly and attentive, price was super reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Southern comfort buffet, with a large salad bar and plenty of kid friendly options. Probably the best cornbread in SC, my spouse and I were talking about how we literally can’t remember the last time we had cornbread that good. Ribs, pulled pork, fried fish and fried chicken on the buffet along with a variety of sides. Clean restaurant with friendly staff.

While traveling my boyfriend decided to stop at this restaurant from a post he say on Facebook. This restaurant is clean and food is great here. He definitely made a good choice to stop by Big Boys Country Cooking !!! It was busy would have been a five star just hard to get a waitress for refills and removing plates.

Good food. We drove an hour to get there, but probably won’t drive an hour back. Don’t get me wrong if I lived in this town I would definitely eat here but nothing worth driving an hour for. We got full and customer service was good. It was $28 for two people, sweet tea included.

What a pleasant surprise. We were passing thru on our way from Bike Week in Daytona. The guys were very hungry. They definetly got their fill here. The people working were so friendly.
I recommend the beans & greens off the bar. The guys loved the fried chicken.
If ever back in the area, we will definitely stop again.

Worse excuse for a buffet I have seen in a long time. As per pictures, you can see where items were either dried out or watery. Only thing I enjoyed was the cornbread. After sitting there for a while we finally got acknowledged by the waitress who if you are paying by card got 20% for bringing us one refill of water and cleared one set of plates.
Then while sitting there, my husband notices a sign “No Refunds” sadly it fits cause for 14.99 a person, “not worth it”
