Let’s start off with how amazing the food was I got the dolly my mom and ant got the big boy with French fries and I got the dolly and hash browns amazing like amazing the wait was 10 min cuz there were 4 people working cuz it was 6pm but otherwise really good best big boy most definitely recommend and shout out to heather she was sooo nice

During our recent stay at the Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport, we decided to eat at the Big Boy restaurant located next door. The convenience of the location was definitely a plus after a long day of travel.
The experience itself, however, was mixed. Service was friendly, and the restaurant offered the familiar Big Boy comfort food menu, but the overall quality felt average. The food was edible but not particularly memorable, and it lacked the freshness and consistency we expected. Given the close proximity to a major airport hotel, we had hoped for a bit more polish and efficiency.
What stood out most was that this ended up being our only option for breakfast since the Sheraton restaurant was closed during the daytime. That added to the disappointment, as Big Boy didn’t quite deliver the quality you’d hope for when it becomes the fallback dining choice.
Overall, Big Boy served its purpose as a quick, convenient option, but it wouldn’t be my first choice if there were other nearby restaurants of higher quality.

I was there with a relative on november 18th 2025 for lunch. I considered ordering the salad bar with my meal. I looked at the salad bar and the ranch dressing had tuna fish in it. A large amount. So I opted out. I ordered a slim jim with French fries. They were fried in the same grease as fish. Which was disgusting. I told the waitress and she told the manager and he denied that was the case. No adjustment was made on the bill. No acknowledgement from management. Just paid for food that I could not eat. I will never return

I went to this big boys early in the morning after a layover overnight in Detroit. The location is close to the hotel and near a few hotels that are close by the airport.
The service was great. The waitress was friendly, normal but the food was really great and authentic. I absolutely love their biscuits so much. I asked the waitress to give the cook a $5 tip. Thank you.

I love the Slim Jim sandwich. Every time I go to big boy, I order it. What’s ironic is every other big boy I’ve been to has made the sandwiches with three pieces of ham. This place charged me $11 for one slice of ham and a slice of cheese and it was so overcooked and so thin that it was about 1/2” thick. I complained to the manager but he’s like well I’ll give you $.50 off. I won’t come back here and if you’re smart you won’t dine here.

Ordered through Door Dash due to extreme cold. The restaurant was literally a ross the street. The burger was cold and had a huge blob of sauce. The fries were also cold and soggy. Very disappointing since I had not had a Big Boy in years. Totally missed the mark here.

We started off with an order of chili cheese fries for the table. It’s not exactly like a coney island order of CCF but it was still pretty good. I ordered the dolly chicken sandwich with fries. Nothing too different really. Seemed like a typical chicken sandwich, but it was good. I also got a chocolate shake, which is always good.
My wife ordered the bigboy and fries. She seemed to enjoy the burger.
My son got the pancakes and sausage for his meal. He liked the order very much considering he ate it all. Which is not an everyday occurrence for him.
Overall, if your hungry and in the neighborhood, I wound say to give it a try!

We went for the ‘all you can eat’ breakfast and it was so good! We thoroughly enjoyed the claw machines at the front door. We also got a slice of their delicious fresh strawberry pie to go! If you haven’t, you have to try a slice! So yummy!
