I went to lunch today at the Madison Ht. Big Boy! It was one of my best experiences at a Big Boy restaurant! My family and I were treated with kindness and the food and service was amazing! We had Danielle as our server! She was just amazing! I also got a special Big Boy summer prize!If you are in Detroit area please stop in and experience the wonderful food and service! I was there yesterday 2/24/26 at around 10 am. I usually go to the 12/Hoover location but stopped here. This place was absolutely disgusting. There was food everywhere as if this place hasn’t been swept in a week. The bathroom, just close the place down. Just gross, dirty, filthy, toilet paper sitting on a dirty bucket. YUCK!!

Service and food was great hot food was hot or cold food was cold was just a little disappointed they didn’t have the chicken tortilla soup what is the problem you guys need to stay stocked up on the soup people love it, they will leave the store if you don’t have it I have left the store at Hall road and Garfield because they did not have the soup . Today I’m here in Madison heights they don’t have the soup but I keep coming because the service and the food is perfectly served fresh and hot the service is always friendly and waitresses and servers go over and beyond to make sure you’re satisfied.

Food was horrible I had a meat lovers omelette and the sausage links was old hash browns were crunchy/undercooked after I clearly said cook hash browns hard the waitress was horrible never came back after dropping off food only to wave her down to ask for a lemon water which she never brought but of course I see her asking other tables were they okay and did they need anything. The restaurant isn’t the cleanest Definitely should’ve been my first RED FLAG I will never ever go to this establishment again And Good Luck to who ever Do!!

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We called ahead to let them know we would have 12 people, the manager said that was fine and they had an experienced server on shift. When we arrived we quickly realized that was not true. Waited 15 min for a drink order. We ordered food, I ordered a salad, the server waited 20 min to tell me they didn’t have ranch, so I changed my order. We noticed food was made but sitting in the window. It sat there for at-least 10 min. I seen the server getting my soup out of the salad bar that I know was not warm. We ended up leaving. Servers were playing with their hair, cooks were not wearing gloves and touching food. Absolutely disgusting. Also the bathrooms were atrocious!

If I could rate zero stars I would. We called over an hour ahead to let them know we would be in with 12 people, 4 of them being children. The manager that we talked to stated that wouldn’t be an issue because they had an experienced waitress that got there at 430. We all get there, get seated and took at least 10 minutes for someone to come get our drink order. We are a larger group, 12 drinks takes some times. She had to come back and ask everyone what we got, after writing it down. Brings drinks later and takes our order. Again, I know it is going to take time for food, 12 orders of food is a lot at once. The salad bar was a mess, soup left out not hot covered or hot (that she tried to serve us later on when someone had to change their initial order for being of our dressing). We order and they are out of the soup we wanted to order, no big deal. We all order and then 20 minutes later she comes back to tell the two people that ordered salad that they were out of ranch and Italian dressing. About 10 minutes later brings two people food out. We watch the cook place other plates up in the warmed rack, they sat there for 15 minutes before we had to go get a manager. The cook was putting toast on plates with no gloves, there was another waitress standing by food flinging her hair everywhere and putting it up. The only good thing was the manager, she was apologetic and allowed us to leave paying nothing, after we told her we would pay for drinks and the two meals we did get. Half of our party had walked out during this because it had been over an hour and no food yet, but we could see it, sitting there getting cold. I have never had such bad service as I did today. I will never be back and the staff there give big boys a bad name. Honorable mention, went to the bathroom before I left and it was beyond dirty. Toliet covered in pee, no paper towel.. I mean after the service we had, I expected nothing less.

This place is so dirty. It took 55 minutes to get our food even though there was only one other table when we were seated.
Every noodle dish in the salad bar was dried out and brown, the lettuce was brown and wilted, the tomatoes were rotten, the mushrooms were unrecognizable, the soup was cold and only one of the two soups had a lid on it.
The big boy burgers looked like someone had sat on them. The Reuben was seriously thinner than a grilled cheese sandwich and so dry. Had to ask for thousand island. All fries (six servings) were cold. The cod oozed grease when cut into. The noodles in the kids spaghetti were hard and dried out. My slim Jim was the only thing in six meals that was served as expected and tasted good as well.
The restroom smelled so bad it made the teenage girl waiting ahead of us gag.
This used to be my go to location, but it has seriously gone downhill since I was last there a year ago. Definitely will not be returning.
