Staff was super friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Hot coffee. Warm, fresh food. Couldn’t have been more satisfied. The biscuit and gravy was my favorite. I can not stress enough how fantastic it was to have a crispy but also soft biscuit topped with a generous amount of yummy sausage gravy. Really dig the crispy hash cake as well.
All in all, great time. Next time I visit the area I would 1000% come back here. They got my Texas stamp of approval lol
Their house blend coffee also deserves its own shoutout. Smooth, rich, and bold without any bitterness — easily one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had at any breakfast spot in Alabama.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and upbeat. You can tell they take real pride in the experience they deliver.
If you’re anywhere near Madison and craving a top-tier breakfast, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Grits were good and the red eye gravy very flavorful.
The food was excellent and the service was friendly and accommodating.
All of the food here is made fresh, and that was evident. The biscuits were certainly hot out of the oven. We couldn’t decide on one of their homemade jam flavors, so the waitress brought us a “sampler”. Great customer service there.
The mains came quickly. Everything was delicious.
My only issue with this particular location is their lack of seating for waiting guests. I was in a party with 3 elderly women who were essentially standing in the kitchen because I wanted to make sure they were in the A/C. There is not one single chair for waiting guests. My grandmother leaned on her walker instead. This seems an obvious fix given the popularity of this spot. Standing room only it seems. “Atmosphere” gets only 2 stars here.
That being said we were in bright spirits and enjoyed the breakfast. We will absolutely be back.
