I visited a little after lunch, more in the brunch time. There was a small wait at that time but I imagine it gets really busy around breakfast!
The food was exceptional!!! It wasn’t the cheapest, but it’s also great quality. Think Cracker Barrel but so much better. I got the chicken biscuit, loved it. The chicken waffles also looked great, I would like to try that next time!
The only issue is that the restroom is a bit limited, you have to use the restroom in the Strickland hotel by the elevators. There are two restrooms, but when I visited one was out of order and the other was occupied by a person for over 40 minutes. It could make it a little uncomfortable for guests so keep that in mind you might want to use the restroom before you come!

I’ve been to Big Bad Breakfast in Florence several times on the weekend, but this was my first time going during a weekday—and what a treat! It was much less crowded, which made for a relaxed and cozy dining experience.
Our server, Ben, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. I ordered the Yard Work Skillet and my husband got the Big Bad Skillet, and we both ordered fresh-squeezed OJ. Everything was absolutely delicious! I had asked for no onions, and Ben put in the order correctly (it even showed on the receipt), but the kitchen must’ve missed the note. Even so, everything was so flavorful that it didn’t take away from the experience.
I also tried the blackberry jam on my toast, and it might just be my new favorite. Can’t wait to come back again!

The food was pretty good, although on the very high side of what I expect to pay for breakfast. We had a few issues up front from them running out of things, but we didn’t show up until 1130, so I guess that’s when things start to run out. The food did come out fresh and hot. They have fresh squeezed juice. There is a little bar and a gift shop Inside.

This place is awesome!!! From the moment we walked in,everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating.The host not only seated us,but made it a point to come check on us. Her name is Honesty and is a gem!The food was delicious and plenty of it! Great coffee too. Ben our waiter was efficient and on top of his game. Wonderful all around and can’t wait to come back!

Stopped in here with family the day after Christmas. I had the cat head chicken biscuit and it was great. Wife had the avocado toast, daughter had the Belgian waffle, and son had a skillet breakfast. They all enjoyed their meals.
The wait was very long, which was understandable. They were busy the day after Christmas. I did want to note the 2+ hours we spent there for breakfast. Overall, a good experience and would definitely come back here to eat.

I ordered the Creole Omelet, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. It was perfectly cooked, fluffy, and absolutely packed with incredible flavor – the shrimp, the andouille, the “holy trinity” of vegetables, and that delicious tomato gravy on top. It was savory, spicy in all the right ways, and just pure comfort.
And the BACON. Oh, the bacon. This isn’t just any bacon; it’s thick-cut, perfectly crispy, smoky, and has a slightly sweet-peppery glaze that is just insanely good. I could have eaten an entire plate of just that. It’s hands down the best bacon I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
To top it all off, the coffee was fantastic. Rich, hot, and a seriously good cup that kept on coming. It was the perfect complement to such a flavorful meal.
The vibe was great, the service was friendly, and the food was out of this world. Don’t even think about it, just go!

I ordered chicken and waffle ($15). The waffle wasn’t good. The chicken on top was very good.
It was a Sunday when we went. It took us about 15 minutes to find a parking spot.
We sat at the bar because it was a 40 minute wait to be seated.
It took about 5 minutes for the bartender to get to us. She was very sweet.
It took an hour for us to get our food. The problem with that is, people that came in after us received their food before us .
I had to ask the bartender to check on our food. I was very upset!
That was our 2nd visit. I would recommend trying this place but I personally, won’t go back.

I decided I wanted an oyster po’ boy for breakfast before work. I got there about 9:30am and saw the bar had plenty of seats, so I asked the bartender if I if I could place an order to go. She said certainly I can take care of that so I sat down and immediately placed the order, took care of the bill and waited. While she was friendly and efficient, she didn’t ask if I wanted a beverage or offer water. I ordered a grilled grapefruit as the side which was four dollars and the sandwich was 18. When the kitchen handed me the food, I noticed it was pretty light. When I got to work, I opened it up and the first thing I saw was it looked smallish. I took a bite and the bread was fresh, the dressings tasty, but the oysters are an afterthought. In my mind I was picturing it overflowing with them. Somebody in that kitchen decided they would make a sandwich primarily of lettuce, tomato and sauce. The oysters were exceedingly small and not really a big impact to the sandwich. I was also disappointed with the grapefruit which was a complete joke. I could not retrieve the grapefruit segments the way it was cut. All I could do is squeeze it into the container that it came in and drink it. I managed to get maybe two spoonfuls of the grapefruit to eat. All in all, not a good value for $22. I could’ve gotten an amazing breakfast at any number of places in Florence.
