Nice, big, clean restaurant with great service and food. We went here for breakfast and everything was fresh and delicious – coffee, orange juice, milk, Farmer’s omelet, 2-egg combo, hash browns, bacon, & sausage. We will definitely go back.

No wait line (12:30 pm). It was the waitress (blond, older lady, pony tail, 5′ 7) that made the first time visit, unpleasant. Waitress’ behavior – dismissive. (It’s a local, out-of-the way restaurant; laid back, plain establishment). I’m a well traveled, well read person who is use to 4-5 star restaurants – Apple Cafe was a disappointment. The menus were sort of tossed on the table & we kept getting “I’ll be right back.” The restaurant wasn’t crowded but our section was busy. The waitress acted rushed in her speaking & mannerisms. We had quite a long wait before we ordered our food. Drinks took a while. Food . . . less than luke warm ! ! ! I asked for my bacon to be cooked more and it came back looking like 2 toasted pencils. The waitress’ tone was cocky … “is that crispy enough.” It was a family special day so I said nothing further. Had I been with someone else, I would have talked to the manager and asked for my entire meal to be served hot off the grill. (Had to ask another waitress for a refill on my coffee and, asked a relative to get 4 containers for those of us who had leftovers to take home.) The waitress came back only to drop off the receipt to pay up front.

My friend and I visited the new Plainfield location today.
Place was clean, roomy and inviting. Our server, Ashley was so nice and had a positive attitude which made the experience even better.
We ordered the roast beef on French roll and soup & 1/2 turkey sandwich. Prices are good and food even better.

Skirt steak sandwich for $27 cost was not fair ratio as it lacked seasoning.
Big Apple Breakfast 3 eggs over easy not fully cooked hash browns were meh Bacon ans Sausage not good Sliced Ham was good – i usually finish my meal not today. Sorry one and done because there are other restaurants nearby serving better meals.

I ordered the Big Apple Skillet, and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! Comes w/ Country Fried Steak(under eggs and gravy), shredded hash browns, and the best Pancakes I’ve ever had.
We went around Noon, a couple hours before they closed, so it was nice and quiet while we ate.
This is always my favorite go to place for Breakfast, the Staff is always nice and attentive, especially when it’s quiet and not as busy.
Definitely recommend coming here, you’ll enjoy it! Lots of good food!

What’s better than breakfast for dinner? Breakfast or Mexican food for dinner from Mi Tierra at The Big Apple Cafe! Their Quesabirrias are amazingly delicious! And I only sampled them from my wife’s plate! The carne asada is juicy & tender. If you already dine here for breakfast, then I say stop by for dinner, too. The breakfast items never disappoint me. Plus – the atmosphere is the same as it is during the day.

Food was really good service not so much. There may have been a mix up with wait staff and they were apologetic for it. I’ll definitely come back again and I recommend the Farmer Omelette topped with Sausage Gravy!

My wife, my mom and I stopped in here yesterday for some early brunch.
I’ve eaten here many times. The food and portions are always more than enough, the service is friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is always good.
I tried something new here yesterday. I had the breakfast corn tacos with chorizo, cheese, eggs, hot salsa sauce, and sour cream. It was one of the specials of the day. It was very tasty!
My wife had a chicken sandwich with bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and mayo & a side of french fries. It was a very good well made sandwich!
My mom had ordered a mushroom omelette, some wheat toast, with a side of pancakes. She said it was very good. I forgot to take a picture lol but I’ll take her word for it!
Overall always great! If you’re looking for a great breakfast or a great brunch head on into Big Apple Cafe, you will not be disappointed. See you next time! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
