Food is consistently good, I know exactly what I’m getting and that’s super important to me. Had the papa-sized Philly steak sandwich (see photo). I add a little mayo at home since it’s not really saucy enough for me.

This was my first time eating here. I have always been hesitant because from the outside looks, I’ll be honest, doesn’t have much appeal. PLEASE DO NOT LET THE COVER OF THIS BOOK TURN YOU AWAY. The food is delicious, the bread was oh so soft with the most perfect chew that you expect on a sub. Many options to pick from as well. Subs were 5/5 all day, however, as a pizza fan, I cannot recommend the pizza here so that lost a point on the food category. Atmosphere lost a point as it felt a wee crapped in the seats. But overall Big Al’s Subs still gets 5 stars because the service and the subs were that good.

Two nice young ladies served a delicious roast beef sub with fresh ingredients. Not expensive at all. The combo with chips and drink is a bargain. Well worth it. The only down fall is only American cheese. No provolone. I just skipped the cheese all together.

I ordered a “Philly Cheesesteak”. Being from that region of the country (NJ), my expectations are high. This sandwich did not meet those expectations. The meat was marinated in something that i’m not really sure what it was… had a tangy flavor to it. True cheesteaks do not have marinated meat. The cheese was barely melted into the meat, not mixed in like it should be, but rather just placed on the bottom of the roll. The best thing i can say about the sandwich is that the roll was actually pretty decent. It’s quite hard to come by decent sub rolls in this area, so they get a decent mark for the roll. Otherwise i would not patronize this shop again…. especially for a “Philly Cheesesteak”

Food and service were good. However the way their drive thru is set up for pull forwards is amazing! Something I think a lot of newer fast casual restaurants need to learn ..

Ordered the Philly cheese steak… Definitely NOT a Philly cheese steak. Don’t get me wrong. The sandwich was not disgusting, but the meat had a little after taste. Also, the meat was not visually appealing. It wasn’t the usual brown color beef that you would expect. Instead, it looks more red than brown (not red like it was uncooked). Wouldn’t get this again. Will try other sandwiches next time. On the other hand, the dole whip was good.

Great Tex spud. Brisket well seasoned, tasty and tender. It was HUGE. Pic is from when I was over 1/2 way through devouring it. Very friendly and helpful person at the pickup window too. Great locally owned place.
