Bierhaus NYC is a Bavarian-style bier hall offering traditional German food and a full-service bar with 24 taps and six varieties of Hofbräu beer. Located just two blocks from Grand Central, Bierhaus NYC is unlike any restaurant in New York City, offering communal seating, a 50-foot balcony and a glass ceiling. We have live entertainment and events every week, plus happy hour at the bar Monday through Thursday! Available for private parties, happy hour events, and corporate outings.
Costumed barmaids serve imported German beers & meaty eats to customers seated at communal tables.

I got takeout but the atmosphere and customer service were great while inside. I would just comeback for the vibes. The food was alright, the currywurst had a small bratwurst with a lot of fries. Better portioning of fries to bratwurst would’ve been better. I was glad the sauces came separately, the curry sauce gave sweet butter chicken. The pretzel and cheese sauces were great, but would’ve liked more salt on the pretzel. I would recommend the smaller pretzel, since the big one was super filling!

Best schnitzel in the city, hands down. The atmosphere makes me feel like I just skied all day and finally settled in for a warm meal and proper drink. Great authentic beer selection, and amazing food. I cannot ever be in the area and walk past this place without stopping by. Thank you.

It’s really similar to an halle in the Oktoberfest, with big tables to share with others. The beer is good, bavarian flags a little bit all over. It’s a place that deserves another visit from me.
The schnitzel was a bit thick, but good, the hot pretzel was yummy!
Next time I will try the bratwurst!!!

Before heading over to LIM for a tour of the campus/ collage we grabbed a quick bite at Bierhaus NYC. We got the chicken sandwich, bratwurst and pretzel . The food came out quick as we were in a time crunch, the service was quick friendly and efficient. I personally loved the uniforms . Would recommend

This place is purely good vibes. Good music, tasty food, good drinks, and they even play a drinking contest. this is the perfect spot to celebrate Oktoberfest but I believe they keep the theme alive year-round

Loud, wild, and very German beer-hall vibes
Good music, long tables, and pure fun.
Jägermeister on a ski, ordered from a waiter — unreal experience.
Not chill, just chaos in the best way. We ve been there twice already. Would 100% go again

Oktoberfest all year round! The Bierhaus NYC offers a great selection of German beer and hearty food in a lively, authentic atmosphere. The outside seating with a view of Third Avenue makes it an especially nice spot in good weather. Inside, the vibe feels like a piece of Bavaria right in Midtown – long wooden tables, festive décor, and a welcoming staff that adds to the experience. A great place to enjoy a beer, some classic German dishes, and to dive into Germany for a short moment while in New York.

We really enjoyed this spacious Bavarian beer hall with the German beer and food to go with it.
We loved the cold original Hofbraus, my favorite German beer.
Kasekrainer with sauerkraut and potato salad was fantastic, as was the curry wurst and the side of cumber salad. Yummy.
Our server was quick and friendly and did a tremendous job. The hostess was friendly and welcoming.
In addition to the large tables and benches throughout, there is a small enclosed balcony that offers seating and some smaller tables throughout the restaurant.
It can get quite loud, but we enjoyed the 80s playlist and the chatter of people enjoying themselves.
There is a flight of stairs to enter that looks more intimidating than it is, so be aware.
Restrooms were clean and orderly.
We will be back and would
recommend.
