My friend and I celebrated July 4th here for lunch and loved it. The lunch special menu was varied and very reasonable. We had non-alcoholic drinks, salads, pasta (one was gluten-free) and desserts and enjoyed everything. Service was excellent and the food scrumptious!

I had a great experience at this Italian restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted very authentic. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were full of flavor, and the portions were generous. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone who loves good Italian food.

Ever since we moved to the Bay I’ve been wanting to try this place. But it closed down during Covid and then opened under new ownership. Let me say our first experience did not disappoint. Cocktails were unique tasty and strong. Food was top notch. Wifey got the beet salad with salmon and couldn’t stop raving about it. I got pizza and it was really good (that’s after coming back this week from the east coast where great pizza is at a surplus). Vibe and service was exceptional.

My wife was out of town for business and I thought I would take my thirteen year old son out for dinner, and I had been craving Italian food for some time. It’s probably been 5 or 6 years since I had been to the Hotel Mac and I remembered it was always pretty good, so I spent a few minutes going over the Google reviews and thought let’s try it. We started with the calimari which was quite good, then my son had the mussels which was different than he’s had in the past, but he loved it, and I had the seafood risotto, now my dish was not what I would consider great, but then again I’m super picky about risotto, but the seafood was cooked to perfection. Now the dessert was spectacular! My son had the tiramisu which he always gets when it’s available, and he told me it was the 2nd best he’s ever had. I had the coconut pie and I thought it was incredible. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it took waay too long to get service in the beginning. But I would definitely eat there again.

Absolutely classic old school atmosphere with great food. Sat at the bar and had the East Brothers Pilsner. Had the minestrone soup and salmon. Love the Pacific Snapper too. Have had it numerous times in the past. Always delicious too. Highly recommend.

The heritage building is so charming and retro. Several different levels and rooms make it feel very intimate. I had an eggplant lasagna which was excellent, and my fellow diners were also pleased with their food.

My Husband haven’t stated here for years, since it closed , but I’m happy to know the Hotel has a new owner as does the restaurant.
We’ve been patronizing this Restaurant & bar for years, but the quality of service has declined. The staff seem lackadaisical, and uninterested in African American patrons, it doesn’t feel genuine or welcoming. Because of this, we’ve reduced how often we visit.
We prefer to spend our time at places with a more balanced and diverse staff that show appreciation for their customers and for the community they serve without bias.

Wow, what a gem! We went here for our anniversary and it was simply delightful. The staff are incredibly attentive, the atmosphere is lovely, we even had a piano, violin duet downstairs. Really wonderful restaurant.
