It was a perfect spot for us! It had just the right amount of options, if you love pasta! The prices were great and the atmosphere was perfect for date night. It was my bf’s birthday and our waitress treated us to a birthday sundae and extra bread! However, we waited a while to finally order but our food was quickly brought out. I had the short rib ravioli, iI would try something new next time. My boyfriend had the chicken Parmesan and absolutely would get it every time. Our total bill was $50! I would recommend making a reservation!

We went off campus for a special lunch and had been recommended this Italian restaurant. They are a long standing restaurant serving some really authentic dishes. We are vegetarian and they had many options for us. We enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli (kind of right for the Fall season) and the eggplant parmiagiana, both of which we liked a lot. They have some interesting types of Bruschetta apart from the classic one, which were great for sharing as a starter. Great service and excellent food.

Wonderful first experience. Our server, Josh, was great and everyone was so kind. The food was tasty AND plentiful. Lovely building and atmosphere; classy and comfortable. Nice, clean restrooms. We look forward to returning!

Our waiter was attentive, but not pushy! The menu is extensive and it was hard to decide what to have. We had the lobster and black pasta dish which was out of this world delicious! We also had the mahi-mahi with butternut squash and green beans. The fish was grilled to perfection and quite light but delicious! We were just passing through and googled Italian restaurants and would definitely recommend. Oh, almost forgot the wine! Wonderful, extensive wine list!

Disappointed – Haven’t been here for many years and always looked at Biaggi’s as an upscale, high service restaurant so I brought my wife for her birthday. Arrived early.but was seated in the bar area so our server was the bartender whose time was divided between the tables she served & every other server needing drinks. Our meals looked great but my wife’s scallops were tough to chew ( she gets scallops because they are usually tender and easy for her to deal with after her cancer). Overall, we were disappointed in the service, food & price. $120 for 2 entries & bottle of wine.

This was a great experience. The food was delicious. At first, he thought the prices were high, but when we saw the huge portions, and saw the final bill, we were quite pleased. We got an appetizer (crab cakes) that I forgot to take a picture of, but had great flavor. Either the crab cakes or the sauce was a little spicy, but not too much. Very tasty. He got the chicken marsala and we couldn’t believe the size!! He said it was delicious. I got the butternut squash ravioli. It was very unique and so good. In addition to all of that, we also had the bread with the olive oil, parmesan cheese and spices. Our server was friendly and the food was served promptly. It was a drive for us, but we will definitely seek this restaurant out the next time we’re in the area.

Waited OVER an HOUR and a half (90 minutes) to be served uncooked pasta and only appetizers (soup), which also took nearly 15 minutes after ordering to come out. Wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but service was extremely horrible and lack of attentiveness from the waitress.

I always look for places to have lunch in Champaign when I visit my daughter on campus, and Google recommended this restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff was very attentive, and the menu was varied with great options at a fair price. I loved the eggplant parmigiana—it was excellent! We will definitely be back.

We have eaten here many times and decided finally to give them the 5 star review that they deserve! Once again we had a wonderful meal starting with the fresh bread with olive oil and Parmesan cheese dipping sauce. Then we had both the wedge salad and the Mediterranean salad. We all had a different entree. We had the lasagna and chicken Parmesan duo, the Dijon Salmon, the scallop Risotto and the shrimp and Crab Cannelloni. Each dish was full of flavor and well done! The service was very attentive too. If you haven’t tried Biaggi’s, it is the classic Italian place in CU!

I will rate it as the best Italian restaurant in Urbana Champaign area. Nice service. They don’t accept Apple Pay, though ( still !)
