Social Profile:

In 1983, Beyti went into business with a few tables and a small butcher store and went into service with its two services at the first and only location in Union City in the year 1983. For the first time in New Jersey, there was a restaurant serving Turkish Food, fulfilling the demand, and also a meat market that would satisfy the needs for cultural Turkish cooking in homes around the area. Since the starting days, we have not compromised on our service, quality products, and taste. Taking it upon ourselves to represent the rich Turkish Kebab and Appetizer culture with staying true to taste and tradition

Turkish spot serving traditional fare, with weekly belly-dancing performances & live music.

Price: The biggest thing you notice is the prices on the Google menu item are so wrong. It is a lot more expensive and check the picture or the Order Online to see real prices.

I ordered the lamb shish kabob which was tender, juicy, and flavorful. I was delighted with the presentation as the menu said it came with rice but in fact came with a beautiful salad and a thin bread, a roasted pepper and tomato. It was really enough for two so I had the leftovers for dinner.

Good place with decent food in Union City. We tried a lot of dishes from their menu but got somewhat disappointed with the quality of the food. Hunkar begendi was adequate, beyti was good but lahmacun was just bot edible. Clean environment with some interesting wall papers. Will give this place another chance another time.

I came here for dinner with my brother. The restaurant inside is one big open area with tables, no dividers, no privacy, and it’s cold in there so dress warm. If you’re a couple and looking for a romantic restaurant, it is NOT for you. The service was courteous but very disorganized. They forgot some things we ordered and charged us for things we didn’t order (of course, not on purpose). Also, parking was a challenge. You have to find parking on the street and it’s a busy area. However, the food was delicious. I ordered the sea Mediterranean Sea Bass and my brother ordered the Mixed Grill. The sea bass was a whole fish (with the head) and had lots of bones. I was disappointed with that because I spent half my meal taking the bones out. The portions were generous. If I had to come here again, I would order take out.

I thought all the food was delicious! We had baklava, the lebne, and hummus were delicious. The portions are huge so I ate half and took half home of the doner kebab. The special betyi kebab was like a Turkish enchilada. The rice was really yummy as well as the bread.

First of all the only reason I didn’t give 1 star is the decoration is nice(finally those blue walls are gone!) and they are under new management so maybe they need more time to settle BUT! There is a big but! We went there yesterday for dinner around 5:30 and there was no customer inside. The waitress was upset to see us as we disturb her(Her name is Zeynep), and she was careless and rude toward us. No smile nothing. I would not leave her any tip but the other waitress was sweet so I left a tip. And if I need to talk about food. I’m really sad to say that but the food was the worst food I have had in any Turkish restaurant so far. We ordered eggplant salad with tomato sauce as appetizer and didn’t like it. As the main course, we ordered lahmacun which tastes really like something but not lahmacun(but it comes with a nice salad). It comes 3 pieces we only ate 1 because we were so hungry. And my husband ordered doner and Adana mix, Adana was nice tasty at least but the gyro! What kind of gyro was that? That thick and tasteless gyro in a nice restaurant? Honestly, I just ate the small appetizer plate they bring on the house that has cheese, olive, some thick yogurt, and cacik. Cheese and thick yogurt were so good with bread. Thank god they brought that plate otherwise we would leave that place with an empty stomach. Overall, the decoration and the vibe are really nice, some employees need a really serious talk, food is not good. Not recommend!

They have new chef, new decoration! The food was very tasty and fresh! The price was extremely reasonable. We had kunefe and it was amazing! The new chef Senol, was a very famous Chef in Turkey, now he is here! He offered free fruit tray and free dessert to us! It was such a great experience!

The food was really awesome but why 2 stars!? When I got the check I saw they have charged me an extra amount for service!! And then it had tip recommendations!!! I was like 😐 I really didn’t get it, either change the prices on your list or take out that service fee, I would give more tip if you don’t charge for service fee! Tip is for the workers but I’m not sure who gets the service fee. Other than that, Restaurant was really good, food was great and workers was very nice, sorry for 2 stars I hate being unclear about something, you need to put a note about the service fee at least, not like banks that put a very small note that you can never find it!
