Home cooking done right! Chicken fried steak was hand breaded, potatoes were real not instant, sweet tea was perfectly sweet. Corn was buttery and yeast roll was tender. There were a few negatives. There wasn’t any dessert. No one knew if they offered military discounts. Server never said her name. I definitely want to come back at least twice more. Once for breakfast and once for Chicken fried chicken on the Sunday buffet.

Breakfast was reasonable and good. Could be more flavourful. Bacon and sausage was good. They also were having fried chicken and chicken fried steak buffet for Sunday lunch that looked good for 10.95 they have a smoking room so this place stinks like cigarettes. The pancake was large but dry and heavy batter has been over worked.

Just an old town family type restaurant. Stopped in for breakfast and had biscuits with sausage gravy. Have to say the biscuits were very good and the sausage gravy was about the norm you find in these types of restaurants.

Food was good. Had the smell of the old smokers Cafe. Definitely can tell they smoked throughout the establishment for years. No complaints though of the food and service. Will definitely eat there again.

I’ve eaten here often, for breakfast and lunch. Food is always good. Chicken fried steak is real instead of the standard frozen hockey puck that most places sell these days. The daily lunch buffet is always good as well.

We thought we would give it a try given all of the good reviews. Regret it. The only 1 vehicle in the parking lot at dinner time should have been a sign. I didnt think the smoking room reviews were that big of a deal, but yeah…. It smells gross. I had a burger and fries. Burger was OK but i couldnt eat the fries at all. The grease was disgusting. Not that they were super greasy, but you could taste the grease was just nasty. My husband had a chicken fried steak dinner. He didnt eat it all, that never happens. He said we eat better at home. The ketchup bottle was even nasty. It was like it was 25 years old, dirty, squishy…. Im not much for leaving reviews but we were sure disappointed. So i felt compelled to warn the next person. ,

Busy in the morning. You got to order bacon, it’s thick, lean, and tasty. The price is awesome! It’s a must stop place if you travel to this direction. definitely recommended place to eat.

My parents just moved to Poteau and we were looking for a Diner to eat at and this was just a few minutes down the road in Wister. The service was quick and friendly and we enjoyed everything.

It’s diamond in the rough. Even serves you ice water with your coffee. Service is fast and friendly. The prices are low and the food is very good.
