Right out of Betty’s sugar-filled head, we believe that if something brings you joy in life, let’s try and put it on a spoon for you. Betty’s flavors were meant to be shared with all. Now with six neighborhood locations and a traveling ice cream truck, we’re continuing to share Betty’s tasty gifts with many more. Nice Ice Cream shop. Decor of the location was fun and colorful. Ooey Gooey was like a salted caramel variant. Choices for non-dairy folks too. Only reason for the 4 star is the assortment is very common and as a Michigander, not on par to the unique flavors get back home. But if you’re looking for some tasty Ice cream that’ll appeal to most types, you’ll find that here.

Update: been here many times now. Definitely join their rewards because I’ve gotten a lot of discounts and deals! Last time I finally got the plain vanilla (normally I enjoy the crazier flavors) but that was legitimately the best ice cream I’ve ever had. You’d think vanilla wouldn’t have much flavor but it was so flavorful and complex. This is quickly becoming an addiction. I love that at the Merriam location they make the ice cream onsite so it’s always very fresh
Original post: I’ve been here twice and it was so delicious both times. I’ve had scoops of their ice cream and a shake. Nice staff both times and they let me try as many flavors as I wanted. They have some traditional flavors and some weird ones. I had the sweet potato casserole ice cream today and it was so good, although I didn’t love the goat cheese one I tried. The staff member also highly recommended the strawberry because it was so fresh and that was super yummy. Everything has tasted like it was made with good quality ingredients.

THE BEST ICE CREAM. If you have not experienced Betty Rae’s you are certainly missing out. A favorite for my wife and I, we were elated to find out about the new location closer to our home in Shawnee (she cried).
This location serves as a test kitchen to try out new flavors, though I was happy to see some of their classic flavors are at this location as well. S’mores is probably my favorite flavor, but you’ve gotta try the Joe’s BBQ flavor. It’s a trip.
The space is fairly small and you may experience a long line given the new excitement since the 7/11 opening, just a heads up. Worth the wait!

You must come and taste the Cookie Monster, Strawberry Shortcake, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch! I have tried all of their flavors and these beat all of them. The Cookie Monster has a unique chocolate flavor with big chunks of cookie dough. This flavor beats all the Cookie Monster competitors and it leaves you wanting more. I would be sad if this did not become part of the standard flavors! The strawberry shortcake was so fluffy and just a perfect blend of big short cake and strawberries! The Cinnamon Toast Crunch took me back to my childhood and lived up to my favorite cereal. Please keep these 3 flavors year round! These are definitely your top flavors I have ever had at Betty’s

I love this place! The customer service always exceeds my expectations. I visited yesterday and Daniel was amazing. He was so personable, kind, and he exhibited so much patience, as my son and I tried to decide which of the delicious flavors we wanted to settle on. Everything was so good! I settled on butter pecan and am already looking forward to returning.

Love the ice cream here! My go-to spot for dessert. I like both this location and the one downtown, but this one always has plenty of parking, never a long wait, and the ice cream always hits! Super friendly staff too!

I am a regular at Betty Rae’s – and my family went there the other night…their ice cream is always great if you choose the right flavors. Their flights for $15 are a killer deal but sometimes the flavors are a gamble! As you can see none of my family liked the “cereal ‘n milk” flavor…but the cookie dough and cookies n cream and peanut butter were all fabulous.
