Very friendly staff who are that way on the phone too . Today being Jan 1st- not a lot of places were open . I called a few places around until the staff at Betty burgers answered.
We are from out of town and a family of vegetarians . We were so glad to find vegan & vegetarian burgers here.
They were well done, filling and tasty . A tad bit dry … but some Tabasco & ketchup fixed that.
We loved their curly fries too !
The tables aren’t always clean and they sometimes smell like dirty dishrags, which is always off-putting. The people at the counters are generally friendly so that’s a plus.
We threw the fries away, embarrassed we told our friends how good they were the last time we had them.
So why 3 stars and not 1? Well, I had the Duke burger and even though the pineapple and bacon slices were on the skimpy side (so thin they only had one side), the beef, lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickles were excellent. Also, the sun was shining on the deck, there was a nice breeze blowing and I thought anyone can have a bad day. Not even Betty can keep an eye on all her naughty boys, allll the time.
Never had a bad experience there.
Best fries around in my opinion.
