I woke up feeling fancy and decided to treat myself to breakfast at Betts. I arrived around 8 a.m., and street parking was easy and convenient.

The server was lovely—attentive, friendly, and made the experience seamless. I ordered a double cortado, which was crafted perfectly, and the French toast with blueberries—absolutely delicious, though I wasn’t a fan of the glaze (I think it was cinnamon). The flavors were still delightful, and the presentation was beautiful.

The decor is upscale yet relaxed, creating a chic and inviting atmosphere. Service was wonderful, everything was thoughtfully executed, and I had a truly lovely time. Betts is the perfect spot for a refined, effortless breakfast in Cleveland.

If you are downtown and want a true ‘Big City’ experience, the. Come here! From the moment you walk in you are treated as though they are lucky to and honored to have you there. The art of guest experience has dwindled down and almost non-existent nowadays. Not at Betts! (I am not a paid comment) I am though a chef from the west coast here on a 36 hour vaykay to see SUFFS. Walked into this establishment to waste some time, and have been transported to Chicago or even NYC. From the personable and quite singing hostess, Aseelah, to the prestinr manager and bartender Dawud who says he is not a barista but willake you a beautiful cappachino that you see on food network. The extreme professional yet personal Jeff who knows what the true art of server presence is. And to top it off Malikee who came up with the answer to an off the wall random question I asked. In a sleek hotel/apt/dwntn spot that you would expect it, they still go over and beyond, while letting you enjoy a personal experience of just enjoying your time. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed sitting at a restaurant that wasn’t mine in a long time.
On top of the elevated service… Please do the mimosa flight with TOSO champagne. Their sante fe bowl with a whole avocado worth of guac on it, shrimp and grits and the breakfast burger. And side note, the best version of Happy Birthday I’ve ever heard.
In a smaller size city, they give extreme big city vibes that has to be experienced!

Dawud was an amazing host/server & bartender!! This place had great music and a warm atmosphere. My friends and I were not familiar with the area, Dawud was a great help with navigating the best spots to go to. We had great mimosas with great conversation ! The food was great just wished my eggs were scrambled a bit harder. Steak was cooked to perfection !! Overall a great time

Restaurant inside Kimpton hotel. Very friendly and attentive service by Bianca. We had French Toast and Egg & Steak. Both were excellent and tasty. Not cheap, but solid breakfast in nice sit down restaurant.

Had an amazing experience at Betts! From the moment we walked in, the hostess was warm and welcoming, and we were seated quickly. Our server was outstanding—attentive, professional, and gave excellent recommendations that made our meal even better.

The quality of the food is superb! The burger was decent, but the lamb was absolutely to die for, and the hanger steak was incredibly flavorful and tender—truly cooked to perfection. Every bite was delicious!

To top it off, the espresso martini was silky smooth and a perfect finish to the evening.

Overall, an exceptional dining experience. Will 100% be coming back! Highly recommend Betts if you’re looking for great service and fantastic food.

First, the atmosphere hits you in seconds as you wind into a cozy cove just off the left of the attractive Kimpton owned Schofield hotel lobby. The huge windows facing East 9th, the expansive bar with its marble countertop, black and white subway tiles, hanging lamps and metal+glass family-of-art-deco-styled sconces with wonderfully stylish matte and mirrored wallpapers muddle together into a wonderful ambiance. The options of seating are free standing tables, bar-height chair/booth tables and full booths. Let me get to the money! Danjia was our waitress and she greeted us with bubbly glee and a natural effervescence. The water was delivered quickly at which time she inquired on if we wanted any other drinks. Danjia circled back to us twice just to check on where we were with our orders (the first check was silent, the second was when I’d took a departure to their charming bathroom after delegating my order to one of our party of 3) as I stated, she’s a pro! The menus were collected once I’d returned and we friends chattered about our life updates and then we saw the food come. The presentation and portions were perfect for our hungry friend-anticipating and travel-fatigued-bellies. We got the burger, the cold salmon, avocado toast… and there are no notes. General Manager Curtis made sure to check in with us after I scoffed down my saucy salmon dish (I won first place in the game of inhaling my food) and even bussed our plates after we each finished. It was a wonderful backdrop to a beatific testament of enduring friendship. Give this restaurant a try and request Danjia… although in my periphery, the four top next to us (one of which was wearing a Heather gray hoodie that read “Being a Good Human Matters” – this can’t be overstated enough) her colleagues held their own stations down ensuring the human connections under these chilly gray Cleveland skies are alive and well indeed.

The hospitality from bartender Dawud and the general manager were definitely the highlight at Betts! Attentive, warm and professional the whole time. Food was just okay tbh. It did the trick for a quick meal between our theater performances but flavors of the Gnocchi were one dimensional and uninspired. Maybe other dishes are better. Luckily the service made up for it enough that I would definitely give it another try sometime. Perfect spot for drinks though!!

The restaurant is beautiful and nicely located. The food was good but other reviews made it seem much more noteworthy than it was. The presentation of the poke bowl was gorgeous though! We had to wait a while because a server gave our order to another table after an already considerable wait, so by the end of the meal we were pretty over the experience. The place had 5 patrons right before lunch on a Thursday so we were surprised by the wait and mix up.

Amanda was an amazing bartender! We first sat down for a happy hour drink. She listened to our “likes” and recommended drinks which were “spot on”! We asked her for a recommendation of where to eat and she gave us reasons to eat at Betts. She was so convincing, we decided after years of staying at the Kimpton, we would give it a try. I will honestly tell you, when we are in town next year we will definitely eat here! The smoked trout was absolutely delicious as well as the braised short ribs – both recommended by Amanda. It’s a good experience when you ask for a recommendation and the wait staff knows exactly what you will like and were “spot on”!

The Bloody Mary was great. Made with a house made tomato juice. I would avoid the smoked trout. No much trout and a lot if pickled red onions with some very bland crackers. The keep an OHio made hot sauce on the table which was very good.
