My wife found this spot after we left Stone Mountain Park. This is some of the best money I’ve spent on bbq in a while! The food is seasoned with experience, by someone who knows what they are doing. It don’t get better than this. Yall know how hard it is to find good bbq? I’m glad she found this spot! For my family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) we had the 3 rib dinner, mac and cheese, baked beans, leg quarters chicken and beef ribs.
Not only was the food good, know that once you walk through that door they treat you like family. Friendly service.
I live in McDonough so it’s a long drive for us. But best believe anytime we are in the area we will be coming back!

I was in town for a wedding and needed a bite for lunch. After some reviews and seeing they had fried whiting (they do not anymore) since I’m not a big meat eater. I decided to give it a try based on the reviews I saw. It was sooo good. The owner was friendly and welcoming. My favourite thing from there was the cornbread (best I’ve ever had!!!!) and the baked beans and the steam cabbage, the mac and cheese wasn’t bad either and the collards were good, but I like mine with a but more brown sugar and spice. The lemonade was good, if you get the lemonade, it can make two servings, get a bottle of water and another cup, pour half the lemonade in a cup and add water. It’s sweet but good. When I come back in town I shall definitely come back. And don’t forget to sign the wall. Peace from Bklyn

The ribs were “fall of the bone” and seasoned very well that you didn’t need sauce, but I’m a sauce kind of lady! the only disappointment was they didn’t have cornbread 🙁

My wife and I went there for lunch yesterday (Sunday). The man behind the counter was the owner and a wonderful man. He introduced himself and got our names and used them.
The food was excellent. He had two items that I love and have a hard time finding, turkey legs done right and collard greens. He gave us samples of his mac & cheese which was terrific. He also gave us samples of chopped BBQ after warning us that it was spicy. It was so my wife opted for the pulled pork and it’s sauce which was fantastic. We both loved our selections and were full. The portions are generous, especially at the price point.
This is a great place with great food. I strongly encourage all to try it.

This place is a hidden gem. I had been passing by it and would notice a smoker grill in the parking lot and always wondered what was going on. Well I finally decided to stop and I am so glad that I did. You know you are confident in your food when a new customer walks in and you ask if they want a sample. The ribs literally melts in your mouth. The owner and his wife are really nice people and I am glad that they are in the community. I will be definitely going back to try their other dishes. I visited Better Than Terrific for the first time today. For starters, the customer service is on point…from the young lady putting the food together to the owner…AWESOME. Now to the food! I ordered the ribs with two sides…mac and cheese and collard greens…DE-LISH-US. And yes I know how to actually spell the word! But that’s how tasty everything was! The owner even offered me a taste of the yams…OUTSTANDING! Needless to say, my first visit was amazing. Oh and don’t let me forget to elaborate a little more on those ribs…FALL OFF THE BONE and seasoned to perfection! My new BBQ spot for sure!!

Upon, arriving in the restaurant I was greeted with a bright smile and a welcoming personality by the owner Bernard . I explained to Bernard this was my first time there. He let me sample ribs, macaroni, and greens. Never in my life have I been to an establishment that has so much pride in there product that they give you a sample of 3 items.
The macaroni, beans, and greens were seasoned perfectly. The Ribs were so tender they were literally following off the bone, and they were seasoned so well sauce was not a necessity lol. The food was so good I bought 2 plates, oh and I almost forgot to mention his lemonade is the Bomb!! Seriously, if your in the Stone Mountain area check my friend Bernard out, you also get to sign your name on the wall your first time there!

I am so glad I followed my hunch today and stopped at this establishment to inquire about that smoky smell of goodness in the air.
The owner was outside early on a Sunday with his equipment and smoking the ribs and chicken. He was kind enough to answer my questions and show me the meat as it was cooking on the grill. I could tell this guy knew what he was doing.
I was not disappointed when I returned later for my order. Any time you can eat BBQ without the sauce, let’s you know the meat is seasoned to perfection!!! Yes, sir.

It was a beautiful August weekend, and I finally took the time to stop by and visit Mrs.Shirel@”Better Than Terrific BBQ” for the four piece fish plate. My spirit mind, body, and stomach were impressed with the flavor and the portions of my meal. I have had some of the sides, though yet to order the ribs because the fish has me so “hooked “.
A month later and I have not missed a weekend of this establishments cooking and personable staff; I pray they continue to prosper through this pandemic and remain safe. Thank you all for all you do and for allowing me to pay later,(trusting a stranger)when the card machine was down ✨

I just made it over to this location yesterday. I was in the mood to find good BBQ, and I specifically wanted ribs. I can’t say enough about this wonderful find. The customer service was absolutely great, from the moment I walked in. There was a line inside, and the people kept coming. I went to get a full slab of ribs, but I changed my mind and got a rib plate and a drink. The guy working offered me a lemonade out the freezer, that was mostly slushy. It was beyond good. The ribs were on an entire different level. I mean, it was so good, it would make you “Cuss In Church”. LOL The potato salad and the baked beans were awesome. The cornbread was fluffy like cake, and it was delicious. Everything I ate blew my mind. It was my first visit, but I will be returning next Friday or Saturday. Loved it.
