I consider this very authentic. The vegetables seem very fresh.
All the food has a pleasant and unique flavor. The hot sauce is sweet and smokey (although fairly mild), and normally I lather my food up with sauce but I enjoyed experiencing the flavors of the meat naked.
The beans have a pig lard taste to them. There is plenty of grease, and nothing is dry.
Would recommend.

I put my review on FB a while back, but I just felt like I should also put this review here as well. I don’t plug food or businesses often. However, I have to tell you my experience taking my son-in-law to Beto’s Tacos.
We arrived at Beto’s for the purpose of just dining and talking, and for the purpose of actually reading a little bit of the Bible and discussing some issues. Honestly, I don’t usually make a habit of going to a resturanate and cracking open the Good Book, but at times I have and this was one of those times.
We had contemplated just getting some food and leaving, but it was evening and there weren’t many patrons present so we decided to stay. As we approached the counter Beto, who is in a motorized wheelchair, took our order. (He was the only employee up front taking orders and serving, while his only cook was in the attached food truck.) After our order was taken he asked what we were talking about tonight. I told him we were reading the Bible and discussing the Old and New Testament and there discussion of Jesus/Messiah. He said, “Ok, I’ll be over and read in just a minute.” He wheeled over to us and read full chapters with us from Genesis, Revelation, Hebrews, and others. He went back to and took orders several times and helped patrons and would come back and chat with us on the matters further. You can tell he loves the Lord and isn’t afraid to discuss it. As we left his business we prayed with him, over his his business, and his health, and apparently his ministry there. The food was good, and the company was even better.
I write all this not knowing everything about Beto or his whole menu. I can testify to his treatment of us and would recommend you stop by sometime and try him out if you haven’t. He seems like a nice humble man. And because this FB review page is very much about food, our food was excellent. We will return again.

Hard to believe Beto’s has an overall 4.8 Google review! I’m from Arizona so I know good Mexican food. And unfortunately for Hastings and travelers passing through, this isn’t it. Firstly, the salsa was awful…no flavor and texture of tomato paste. Inedible. Chips also flavorless and overcooked. The carnitas, chicken and al pastor tacos were either flavorless or greasy, or both. Unfortunate.

Best tacos in Hastings. My first time to get food the taste is amazing and the freshness is fantastic. I really like the red sauce. Kids loved rice and beans and Baraco tacos.

Right off the bat the service was wonderful and polite! The food was amazing better than some places I’ve been to, including the the noise because there was nun. I 10/10 would recommend to anyone who has a spot for Mexican food!!

We have gratefully ate here a few times now since opening. We have tried the chicken quesadillas, carne asada tortas, we have had the super fries, and of course the tacos (carne asada, barbacoa, carnitas) and I would wholeheartedly recommend it ALL! The flavors are amazing! The pricing is perfect, the portions are great and the customer service will far exceed ANY other restaurant in town. Beto’s is a force to reckon with, and they have only just begun!! Thank you for continuing to serve amazing food, during good business hours, and always with a smile!! If you are looking for good mexican food, you HAVE TO, HAVE TO, check out Beto’s.

By far the best burritos in town. If you have self control you might be able to get 2 meals out of the enormous burrito. However I don’t have the self control required and eat the whole thing. Been there multiple times and the service is the best!
