Teagan, thank you again if you see this! What you did for my husband was above and beyond. Truly grateful.
The food was great!! It was a fun place to grab a bite to eat! Enjoyed some mushrooms, cheese balls, and a burger and fries. All excellent!
In about 45 minutes. Our server Maddie was a highlight, awesome and on top of everything. The gumbo was excellent. Wish we had gotten a bowl instead of a cup. The shrimp po boy was good, bread really soft and the burger did not disappoint. Great stop for some casual food while at the Beau Rivage. Will come again to watch sports and eat on out next visit here.
We sat at a table and our server really was amazing and very helpful. He wasn’t even able to put a soccer game on the big screen so we could watch it instead of the other sports that we’re currently playing.
He also made great beer recommendations from the local breweries.
The hamburger was the only thing that was just average. The fried mushrooms with their dipping sauce was excellent and more than any one person can consume.
The Caesar salad was delicious: the dressing was a good coating… Not too tangy and had a really great flavor.
The tater tots were surprisingly good. Deep fried and crispy.
We will be back for the beer and mushrooms.
Next, 7 stars for the Gumbo Ya Ya. A favorite dish for us and this did not disappoint. A deep brown, flavorful base with tons of umami and just enough heat. Plentiful sausage and chicken and nice balance of vegetables. % YUM!!
A bowl was really enough for a meal.
Next was the beef loaded nachos. Sadly only about 2 stars here. The chips were greasy and the toppings were basically thrown on top in a rush. Beef and pico were flavorful, as was the guacamole. We could hardly find any shredded cheddar, and there was a milky cheesy sauce pooled around the edges. Overall nice components but a haphazardly thrown together fail. Oh, buried underneath the mess was a layer of refried beans that we didn’t discover until later.
