Good food, friendly quick service and comfortable ambience. We had the samosa, tandoori roti, garlic naan, chicken Korma and Mix veg Korma and the Hing Kachuri (3 kachuris served with tangy spiced potato) The food was tasty, not heavily spiced but balancing the flavours. The chicken Korma curry could have been a bit sense, it was liquidy. Samosa was decent. The tamarind chutney accompanying the samosa was spot on.
Never expected to find Hing Kachuri in such a remotely located restaurant! I was transported to Delhi, India. Really topped my tastebuds!
Few parking spots available right outside the restaurant.

The food is 10/10. I went there on Christmas eve, there was only 1 man working and he manged the restaurant and the cooking by himself.
As I’m indian, I knew the food and made some additional requests for my dietary preferences. He insanely made the food exactly at my liking.

THE FOOD FELT LIKE HOME♥️

Quiet place. Good food. The naan was excellent!
I think the spice level for mine was a little higher than mild, my husband’s didn’t have as much heat and he also got mild but they still tasted very good

The wife and I stopped in the other day to try some of their food, and I will tell you we were more than impressed. I got the goat curry, and as somebody who loves goat, I was very happy with the tenderness and flavor. My wife got the chicken trio and it was over-the-top tender. The grilled vegetables were almost as good as the chicken. The samosas had this crazy perfect flakey, but firm texture, and the stuffing was delicious. The green sauce that came with it was so good I would buy it by the jar. And lastly the butter nan was on point in every way.
The service was impeccable. Loved the Indian beer the chef paired with my food. We were treated like family. The chef even helped take a photo of the wife and I with our food. It was an amazing time and we will absolutely be back again.

I am Indian, and like most Indian families, we usually cook Indian food at home. I’ve eaten Indian food my entire life and rarely eat it outside. My wife and I were driving back from Portland and were too tired to cook, and we didn’t feel like eating anything except Indian food. She had already read reviews about this place and felt it wasn’t good, and I thought, how bad can it really be?

Unfortunately, this turned out to be some of the worst Indian food I’ve had in a very long time.

The butter chicken was not butter chicken at all — it was a watered-down soup with no resemblance to the actual dish. It didn’t taste like butter chicken, and to make matters worse, the chicken itself wasn’t even properly cooked. If you’re going to serve something like this, please don’t call it butter chicken — call it a chef’s special or something else entirely.

The naan was clearly frozen naan, likely straight from Costco or a restaurant supply store. Definitely not fresh.

I almost never give one-star reviews, especially for restaurants, but this place truly earned it. There was only one person handling everything — taking orders, cooking, and packing food — which resulted in a very long wait time.

To top it all off, the hot food was served in containers that are not meant to handle hot food. At billing time, after my order was already packed, I was casually told that tandoori roti couldn’t be made — without even giving me the option to substitute another bread.

If you’re craving Indian food, drive to Biggs or Hood River instead. This place is not worth your time or money.

Went in on Christmas day when most places were closed and it was also a little slow here. The food was incredibly good. We got tandoori 3-1 appetizer, lamb vindaloo, kadhai paneer, and raita. Everything was tasty but highly recommend the tandoori 3-1. Fresh meat and flavors. Portions are good for 2 and most.of the main dishes come with rice.
Pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. The manager also offered us dessert at the end. We were so full yet we finished everything. If you like Indian food, you should give it a try..

This is hands down the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’ve been to a lot of great Indian restaurants and this one easily beats them all. Indescribably delicious food that’s so obviously made with love. We had the butter chicken masala and the mango curry with a side of samosas cooked to perfection. Our attentive and thoughtful server was willing to answer our questions and tailor the level of spice to our tolerance.

Check out the space in my pics and video. It’s absolutely gorgeous. A gem in The Dalles. We will be by often in hopes that they stick around. The prices are remarkably reasonable. The only thing that made me sad was the lack of people there at lunch! 100% worth the drive.

Mouthwatering Indian food! I got the Butter Masala Chicken; it was rich and incredibly delicious. My husband got the Chicken Biryani, and it was superb as well. The naan bread was charrred, chewy and just-right. Our order didn’t take long to be brought out, either. Highly recommended!!
Pay attention to their open hours, though, because they are closed for a couple hours in the middle of the day.

The owner of the restaurant served me, and I told him I had really bad heart burn. He made a special dish of chicken for me with healing ingredients, like Tumwric, ginger, basil and cilantro. It was absolutely delicious and really helped me. So kind!! Highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you!
