I truly never write bad reviews, but I feel the need to write one for here. After reading this place had the best food and drinks, we decided to make a trip here while we were visiting from out of town.

We can honestly say we had the worst food and service of our lives. We paid an insane amount of money for food that was mediocre, lukewarm and came out wrong. We ordered a Valentine’s Day 4 course special that no one seemed to know what was or how to enter in their POS system. The entree came out first and was the smallest piece of salmon I’ve ever seen, lukewarm Brussels sprouts and a plain baked potato after we were asked if we wanted all of the toppings (we said yes). The soup and salad came out next, where the soup was served in a salad dressing container. We were in disbelief. It wasn’t even a ladle scoops worth of soup. Even the bartender asked if we were still waiting for our soup and looked confused. We got the lava cake to go and were asked if we wanted whipped cream on it. We said yes. Got home and surprise…no whipped cream.

Don’t get me started on the service. Our bartender was very nice and apologetic but everyone else was so visibly mad and upset and stressed that the tension was just vibrating in the whole room. They just kept mentioning how 3 people quit that day and we are usually very understanding of situations but it just felt like maybe they should have closed instead of subjecting a whole restaurant’s worth of people to extremely bad service and food. I’ve never seen so many upset people in a business before.

John Taffer woulda shut this place down.

This brewery is a hidden gem. A little out of the way but worth the drive. A great selection of beer, a surprisingly good lunch menu, and superior service. I had 2 of their excellent drafts but my wife tried their special “beer cocktails” that she really liked. Sat at the bar and also enjoyed a pleasant conversation with Courtney the bartender. Great place!

Was in town with friends. Stopped by to try the beer and take some home. They were having trivia night, which was super cool. Service was not great. Didn’t get food. Beer was not of my personal taste. They had some flavored seltzers i didn’t mind. Really cool atmosphere and people were having fun, just not for me.

Stopped here on out afternoon at Cacapon State Park. Berkeley Springs Brewery is an excellent starting point. We enjoyed our snack of hummus and pita bread and sampled the local beers.
It is great that this place is dog friendly and our hostess was very kind to our pups and welcoming to us as well.
If in the area, give this place a try.

Came to this hidden gem in the town of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. Open and airy atmosphere, friendly wait staff and not too loud/noisy. Lots of choices for drinks – beer, liquor/spirits, mixed drinks, etc. and a good variety of food items on the menu – appetizers, sandwiches/burgers, and entrees. Customers can get a close-up view of the brewery equipment as they walk towards the restrooms too. Plenty of seating, with casual picnic-table/bench style seating, bar, and regular table/chair seating. Seats outside on the patio as well. Free parking available in the gravel lot outside the restaurant. Pet-friendly and free frozen treat for furry family members. Recommended!

We were so excited to try this place we went on a Saturday night and they were BUSY we went for the outside sitting option it was a beautiful night, it was my Husband my daughter and myself we sat outside with no service for over 30 mins there was a party of eight that came in a good 15 minutes after we had been there. They got service before us so we chose to move indoors to hopefully get better service still did not receive better service. There was another group large that came in once again after us who had their food and beverages before we were even waited on. We still sat there for another 30 minutes waiting on someone to get our drink order my husband‘s flight took about 45 minutes to come. The food was cold. The service was horrible. My daughter’s food was completely wrong and she never got her drink until I said something it was a bottle of sweet tea. We’ll never come back and worn others to do that same.

This place is great! Plenty of incredible beers, and the brisket sandwich and Mac n cheese was stellar. The staff was incredibly attentive and courteous. As well, I loved the warm, rustic interior cabin vibes. Bonus points for the video lottery machines in the game room!

Hazy IPA among the worst I’ve ever had, but admittedly I’m not a fan of Hazy’s that are so citrusy you could mistake it for a lemonade. The Dip Duo was a total rip off – among the smallest portions for the price I’ve had at a restaurant…ever (and that’s 60+ years, so ever dates back to JFK being President). Chicken wrap was okay, but wouldn’t get it again. Needed a magnifying glass to see the patty on my son-in-law’s burger. Some ordered drinks didn’t arrive until meal was nearly over. No pretzels available on day we visited. AVOID!

Denise, a tough situation for sure. If it happens again, I might suggest an up-front acknowledgement to the patrons of what happened. Admit that quality might suffer on that occasion. And compensate by offering half price draft beer and desserts; $5 shots; a more limited menu; and ramp up the portion sizes to compensate the potential loss in quality with quantity – how hard would it have been to offer more than one carrot stick and two chips per person?

None of that happened. Instead, you carried on as if all were well with an out-of-town group that frequents James Beard restaurants in the US and travels to international cities based on the number of Michelin stars we can find. We visited your establishment expecting a 4.4 experience based on the reviews. It was far from that, and I would recommend that other visitors temper their expectations accordingly. Just as you wished I ‘pulled a Karen’ and asked to speak to the manager, I wished you pulled a James Beard and visited the table to ask how we were enjoying our dining experience.

Lovely little place. Really enjoyed the food and the freindly service! We ordered the chili with brisket. And loved the smoky taste in the Chili. My husband ordered the All American burger which was spot on. Wish the portions were larger!
They did not have the braided bun which we were looking fwd to try after all the pictures and reviews. Never the less, still pretty good place to eat and hang out!

Get excited; this brewery and barbecue meets country tavern expectations, starting with delicious barbecue options(brisket, chicken etc), sides(corn bread, collared greens etc) and many home brewed beers + homemade alcoholic concoctions, it will not disappoint. For someone who is not looking for barbecue or alcohol; do not worry! I like barbecue but was looking for a low-carb meal and I got that with a barbecue chicken salad that had many veggies( could easily have been modified to be vegetarian or vegan). They also have mocktails, a DIY barbecue platter menu, a pup menu and a kids menu.
The experience is even better with a helpful and cheery waiting staff along with sometimes live music(we got an amazing country singer, Joe Clark). This place is also only kid and dog friendly with a large outdoor picnic area, a lot of gravel area and surrounding woods for dogs and kids to play, additionally they accept dogs into their restaurant. Overall it is a great place where you get some good barbecue and vibes for a decent price.
