Cute shop and restaurant on the way into/out of Paonia. They have dried fruit, fudge, ice cream, and hippie things like stones and charms. The bathrooms are really clean and nice. They have lots of nice, shaded seating out back with beautiful views of the mountains. The menu features your classic American staples such as hamburgers and sandwiches, chips and fries. They also do breakfast!

Super yummy place! The views + the service were a great combo; the staff was kind and I loved the additional souvenirs. French fries are crispy and smoothies are thick. Would come here again fo sho!

This place is so charming and the mercantile was a fun little store to explore. The food here was amazing!! I am from out of town but I hope to get back here next year! Their sandwiches were so, so good. We enjoyed a wonderful meal on the back patio with beautiful views of the orchards. I also recommend the fudge! Every flavor was SO good that I can’t recommend just one. If you get a chance to go enjoy a meal here, GO!

We are from Utah but we come to Berg’s to eat every time we come to Paonia to visit and decorate family graves. The food is good and the setting is beautiful. We will come again.

Had the chicken fried steak sandwich and sweet potatoe fries. This is your average small town diner. Fries were good. The chicken steak was dry. Nice setting overlooking the orchard. Small store adjacent to the diner selling honey and peaches and other souvenirs and hiking maps.
Friendly service.

We stopped here in early November based on a recommendation from another local business owner and enjoyed a wonderful respite from our long day on the road. The cheeseburgers and chips were excellent. The staff welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. After a late lunch, we cruised the little store and bought bags of dried apples and chunks of homemade fudge, both of which were superb. Our timing calendar-wise was great since Berg Harvest took a winter break starting Nov. 20, 2021. Seating is on a deck that can be closed or opened depending on the weather. The view from the deck of the well-cared-for apple orchard made me feel like I had stepped into New England. We enjoyed the old pieces of equipment indoors and outside with educational signage. It feels like Berg Harvest has a great sense of pride in what it does. I hope we can come back some day. This would be a fun stop in the middle of a summer wine-tasting trip to Paonia.

Their pizza is the best we’ve ever had! We are sad all winter long when they’re not open. We celebrate every spring with our favorite meat lovers pizza. Everyone who works here is lovely.
