In addition to sourcing the majority of our supplies from other local Wisconsin businesses, we host “Dine Outs” to assist non-profit charitable organizations and support their cause. The first Benvenuto’s Italian Grill opened in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin in 1996. Today, the Benvenuto’s brand has grown to four company restaurants and two franchise locations located across Wisconsin. We loved this place. We went on a Friday night, which was busy. Fortunately, we called ahead for reservation . My family had Great food and service with the exception of 2 things: food took longer than normal, and my steak was well done, and I asked for medium. I told our waitress a few minutes later, and the manager came to confirm that? Really? Like they didn’t believe me, kind of offended by this action.

Great customer service. Our food was fresh and delicious. The environment was clean and nice but not too fancy. Lots of people in casual clothes. My husband said his steak was kinda bland so I suppose the chefs should season them more. All in all, good experience.

The lemonade was delicious, the crab cakes and wedge salad were pretty tasty, and the fresh focaccia with herbs and oil oil was Devine.
Boo Thang really enjoyed his Chicken Tetrazzini.
The portion sizes are HUGE.
Everything else, service, my entrée, and ambiance was meh, at best. I commented that it was an Italian version of Cheddar’s.
– The Cavatappi Classico was bland and dry. I couldn’t get through 1/3 of the dish, and neither of us wanted to take it home.
– The wooden table was “clean” but sticky, from too many wipe-downs with dirty sanitizer. We both put our cloth napkins down as personal tablecloths.
– Our server was a nice guy, but nothing made it to our table (including soft drinks) in fewer than 10 minutes.
My partner ordered a calzone to-go to warm up for lunch tomorrow; it’s massive, and he’s not going to forget he has lunch while working from home.

Purchased a pizza, wedge salad and meatball appetizer via Grubhub. Order tag was missing my meatball appetizer and it was not received. grub hub refunded me for that missing item.
BUT,
The wedge salad was brown and that is completely unacceptable to send food out like that. It’s very visible. That is how you get ecoli poisoning.

Excellent food and even better service. Being new to the Madison area I had never tried Benvenuto’s, but on the recommendation of a friend we checked it out. Had a wonderful evening and the food was delicious. Leave room for dessert.

It was very slow but still took quite a while to get served. I had the soup which was definitely home made… Almost got a second bowl. I got Chicken Parmesan… The chicken was very good. The pasta sauce however seemed like canned sauce. They need to work on that. Price was comparable to a chain like Olive Garden… But they have a way to go to get the value to that point. Portion sizes were good… Soup portions were small… But the cost was low… So that evens out.
