We were the first ones there tonight! Becca and Ben are so awesome and friendly. Ben updated the menu for tonight while we were there, but don’t worry about the menu. Just tell Ben what you like/don’t like and he’ll bring you awesome food And tonight was really quick with Becca handling the tables. We were in and out in 90 minutes — almost too quick! So may take longer some nights, but relax and enjoy.

Ben is an amazing person, chef, and host. We came in late after a concert and he not only stayed open for us but gave us the most memorable dining experience of my life. He listened to our preferences and likes and made each of us a special plate and picked the perfect drinks for us. I could see the joy and care he took in making our meal and welcoming us to feel at home in his restaurant. What an incredible dinner!

Me and my girls came here for dinner and love every part of our dining experience. The services and atmosphere were great and most importantly, the food was delicious. The in-laws came to town and took my partner and me out to dinner. We are new to Stoughton and had no idea a place like this even existed! We were immediately greeted by the eclectic and cozy decor inside, then joined the in-laws on the outdoor patio overlooking the water. Ben himself served us and prepared our food, which was DELICIOUS and unlike anything I’ve ever eaten before. I recommend not spending too much time with the menu—just let the man cook! Another note: this restaurant is not for those in a hurry or with other things going on in the evening. Dinner IS your thing going on in the evening when you go to Ben’s! Our party of four and one other group of five or six were there for around 3.5 hours. I think I would have enjoyed the experience more if I’d known in advance that we’d be there longer than a typical restaurant, but now I know for when my partner and I come back! Ben’s is anything but typical and the perfect restaurant to just chill, enjoy the good vibes, friendly service, and amazing food. Come with people you like, clear your evening schedule, and enjoy your culinary adventure!

I was canvassing in Stoughton last summer and needed a place to eat and a friend recommended Ben’s. I went there and loved the atmosphere and the food and asked a staff member if i could meet the owner. Ben sat down with me and embraced me as if we had known one another for years. His warmth, hospitality, and curiosity for world cultures make this a gem in Stoughton. And the food is savory, made with care, creativity, quality, and artistic flare.

Ben’s is truly an amazing experience! We arrived a bit early and Ben himself met us outside and explained he had a private event and would be open in 30 minutes. He then proceeded to walk us down the block to the nearest bar and buy us a drink before heading back to the restaurant. After we finished our drinks we walked into the dining area and were quickly seated. The food was incredible, truly amazing. We can’t wait to come back to try new things on the menu! Would recommend!
Note: if you are in a rush, this is not the restaurant for you. Come to Ben’s for amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere.

This was a really fun place and the food was AMAZING. I had no idea what to expect for Tanzanian food, and it did not disappoint! What a gem to find here in Stoughton. A absolute must stop for a foodie. The menu changes often which makes it even more exciting.
Ben, the owner and chef, came and chatted with us about what we would like. He even made a special plate for our two year old because the adult portions would have been way too big. Ben is clearly passionate about his business and when you eat there it’s like eating at a family members house. Cozy atmosphere and a relaxed vibe. This is the place to go for a relaxed dinner when you just want to chat and settle in. Can’t wait to come bag and see what Ben has in store.

Ben’s is a great local spot in downtown Stoughton right on the water. The food is African Mediterranean fusion and a wonderful take on Mediterranean cuisine. The chef, Ben, was very warm and welcoming and made me feel like I was invited for dinner at a friend’s place. The portions were generous. Ben accommodated my dietary restrictions and the overall experience was outstanding. Thanks Ben!

Delicious food, friendly service, lots of cool decor. Glad we gave it a try! Was slightly worried if food would be too spicy but it was the perfect level, flavors all complimented each other well. Servers did a good job checking in – definitely have been to places where they ignore you instead.
