Ben’s is one of my favorite Deli’s. I love the corned beef sandwiches. I would eat one every day if my body would let me. Everything about this place is good.
I might have to go there tomorrow.

Yelp Review: Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen – Garden City, NY
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ben’s Kosher in Garden City is a nostalgic gem with a clean, cozy vibe and that classic old-school diner energy. We arrived right as they opened and were greeted by a super friendly front desk team. The service was warm, the space spotless, and the food? Perfectly comforting.

I ordered a simple egg dish with a potato pancake—crispy and golden. My wife had the nova salmon omelet with fries, and it was a hit. And let me just say: the coleslaw is top-tier—fresh, crunchy, and seasoned just right.

Parking is easy—right next to Barnes & Noble, so you can grab a book and a bite. The booths are cozy and intimate, perfect for a romantic breakfast or brunch.

Sorry, I don’t get the negative reviews. This place is top notch. But if I could make one request: please start carrying bagels. I’d be here daily.

This week my brother, my husband and myself went to Ben’s Deli (Carle Place) to buy pastrami sandwiches, cold slaw, potato salad, extra pickles and chopped chicken liver to go. We have been doing this for years and the food has always been excellent. However, now the quality of food has dropped drastically. The pastrami sandwiches and the cold slaw were still very good but the chopped chicken liver consistency was very off. It was to loose and the flavor wasn’t as rich as it use to be. The pickles had no flavor what so ever, very very bland. The potato salad was mushy and sweet. I known businesses are changing the quality of their products due to the increase of prices for ingredients, however they still need to watch the quality of their product because they are going to lose customers. Especially when there are drastic changes in their products. We probably will stop going to Ben’s Deli since the quality of food has changed drastically. I gave Ben’s Deli 3 stars but it should be 2.5 stars.

Comfort food here! The food is always extremely fresh. The waiter was very nice. Had 2 mix and match sandwiches Mine was chopped liver with pastrami and my friend had pastrami and corned beef. The garlic pickles are the best. The coleslaw was good. I had a square knish and noodle Pudding and my friend had a round knish. Again a staple in the neighborhood for good quality deli!

What dissapointing way to herald in the non-Jewish new year. You would think a restaurant’s main goal is to please and accommodate the customer with great food and service. Well undeniably Ben’s is and will always be my favorite Jewish Deli in NY. I have been frequenting the Carle Place location for years and I have never been so disgusted with the attitude and lack of courtesy and respect by the hostess Gilah and two servers lauren and a man whose name alludes me. When a restaurant makes you feel they are doing you a favor or that you should feel privileged for them serving you, something has gone wrong!

On New Year’s day to make you leave a restaurant because the server demands you order because doesn’t like the fact you sat in a table for 4 when you are just one means , his POV is more important than mine as a customer, and another server (Lauren) intemtionally makes you wait because she wants to side with the other server instead of coming to serve me they all left me waiting ten minutes passing me by to attend people that arrived later than I.

Sure their food is great and most of their servers ARE AWESOME like Jeannete and others but sadly they made my 1st day of the New Year memorable for the wrong and negative reasons.

Thank you Ben’s for making my New Year’s day one unfortunately and sadly i have to remember with disdain and staunch dissapointment!

Was there at 3:30 the place was empty. Service was awful we did not get napkins beater refill. We ordered well done burger. It was raw when he bit into it. The outside was burned. Never again. They got rid of difficult decision
It used to be better. The bay terrace one was worse. Heard they were gonna close. His stuffed cabbage was cold. My tongue sandwich was awful. It cost $75 for the 3 of us and a $10 dollar tip. Never again told the manager Scott he did not care

I absolutely love Ben’s. I can’t say I ever remember a time I ate there or took out the food and was even close to unhappy.
The latkes are the best. If I can’t manage to eat one, I make sure to put an order in for a cold takeout.
The Cole slaw is the best. I like Cole slaw and pickles, so when that hits the table, I get psyched.
The Pastrami and Corned beef are the best, and it’s a toss-up, which I prefer, but you can’t go wrong either way. The knishes are awesome. The hot dogs are awesome.
I think you’ll find that everything is good at Ben’s, and I have just about 30 years eating from several of the locations.
Here’s my pro tip…
If you have a cold or a sinus thing and you don’t have a mom or wife to facilitate the making of God’s medicine, or what we call ” Jewish Penicillin”, you can get “Grandma’s soup” with a Matzo ball from Ben’s and rest assured your getting what you need.

It’s a nice and friendly atmosphere with great service and great food.

P.S. if you’re not adding Cole Slaw to your hot dogs topping repertoire, you need to figure that out.

Ordered the Hanukkah family package and some extras!!! Scott took my order over the phone. When I went to pick it up a few days later, it couldn’t have been more perfect!!! Everything was there, packed well, and Scott, the manager, was even the one that went over the order one by one to make sure everything was included. He also brought it all to my car. Fabulous as always, Ben’s is definitely the place to go!!! Run don’t walk!!! Delicious is an understatement & Scott is an asset to this location!!!
